Actually I think I am a member. I was definately one on the old forum - did they carry over? I liked posting there, but I found it time consuming to split my time between here and there, and I was forgetting to go on there. I sadly have an internet routine - I go on facebook, NewGnR, cracked.com and Ultimate Guitar news section. And yahoo to check sport headlines. And apart from that, I don't go on the internet much :tear:

Nah, the members weren't transferred. I change the address once in a while so that everybody must re-assign. It effectively removes the dead weight. It keeps the forum lean and...well, not really active.

What happened to your guitar forum? We had big plans for that one  ;).

Same thing man. Annoyingly college got in the way, and I had to start doing educational things which didn't leave me enough time to properly pursue making my own forum. Then I got a band, and that made time even more precious! I'm doomed to spend eternity on the same websites :'(

I think it was a good decision to focus on the band rather than the forum. Sounds way more fun.

Haha same man I go here, Facebook and Google and thats pretty much it. Demonoid, eBay and Youtube not as often but I guess them too.

The internet is SO big and people very rarely explore it and I can understand why - tis 99.9% garbage.

That's also my problem and reason I couldn't keep up with that other forum, nor I'm active on any other GNR forum.

I spend too many hours on the Internet every day. I have multiple forums, sites, newspapers, etc, that I read daily. When it comes to GN'R, I usually pay attention to what's happening on mygnr in case something have passed me by, I update my own site when something interesting happens and I come here occasionally to discuss thing not related to GN'R. That's pretty much it.

It's now possible to login at AFD with Facebook account.

And I've added a top-level invite-only forum that is only accessible to select members.

Yes, never have one man worked so hard to achieve so little, and never has a GN'R forum been chock-a-block filled to the rim with features so meaninglessly. On the other hand, it is unspoiled now. It is pure. No one clutters it with stupid discussions. That's why I did more advertisement for newgnr and gnrevolution when mygnr collapsed than my own forum.

Graphical artist sought!

I need to have some new graphic elements designed for AFD. Anyone interested? Payment will be to get access to the VIP section at AFD and free beer in Trondheim.

New badges for Appetite for Discussion have been created. These are automatically assigned to members as their post count increases. All badges refer to people associated with rock n' roll concerts and touring. The higher the post count the better positions/job. People start out as fluffers and end up as superstars! Here are a few samples:

In addition to this ranking system the forum has achievements that are assigned when members do something extraordinary, like recruiting lots of other members, being approved for the VIP section, etc.

There is currently a recruitment campaign in action at AFD. For each new member you recruit you get 50 plectra, which is our forum currency. These can be exchanged for certain benefits.
