Adam Johnson joins Sunderland.

Can't help but think he could have gone to a bigger club. Always done well any time I've seen him play. Will be supplying the crosses for Fletcher I guess.

I'm glad he's gone there, working with O'neill can only be a good thing for him and he comes from round that way I think.

Apparently a new Amy Winehouse 'Greatest Hits' collection is coming out, but the tinfoil and spoons aren't included.

Insanely Julio Cesar (yes the Inter Milan Brazilian goalkeeper most rank as being one of the 3 best keepers around) IS joining Queens Park Rangers and is actively excited to be doing so.

what a coup for QPR! Heres a keeper who won the champions league two years ago with inter milan and named goalkeeper of the tournment(also valued around £25 million at the time as well)is now joining a club who will be avoiding relegation.

Robert Green must be feeling shit right now :giggle:

Tomorrow it'll be Casillas to Wigan, Buffon to Southampton and Lloris to Reading

How the hell did QPR sign one of the very best goalkeepers around? and for just £2.5million I mean I know he wants to go to England and Inter really want to cut back on their wage bill (hence why Maicon is potentially coming to City) but seriously Arsenal and Spurs would probably have been very keen to get a goalkeeper upgrade of that calibre would provide a better shot at silverware, wages and would likely offer a higher transfer fee.

Hell other than United, City, Chelsea and Liverpool he could walk into the goal of any club in England...why pick a relegation candidate? Puzzling. Makes me think QPR are planning to do what City did in 2008 and begin forging a dominating team of their own, be interesting to see how that pans out.

As for Rob Green wouldn't be the first time he's felt like shit probably used to it by now.

Cesar really isn't the keeper he was.

He has been having back issues the last couple seasons from what i read. Inter probably wanted him off the wage bill.

Still it is an odd move but he is 32 and got a 4 year deal, he must be on great wages too so not a bad deal for him.

QPR are pretty ambitious in this window. Graneso from Madrid might be signing also which would be another coup.

Inter asked him to take a wage cut to stay and he didn't feel like he wanted to, so they amicably agreed to cancel his contract and allow him to move on.  Pleasant conclusion.  He is STILL a fantastic keeper, i watched all of their games last season.

Sure about that? His stats are about as good as ever for the last 2 seasons. But still QPR's backline is more inconsistent than quick sand so i doubt he'll ever be a serious contender for the golden glove. He seems to be certain he'll help QPR to a premier league title.

Transfer window closed.

Looks like Spurs signed a few on the final day and City went nuts.

Might be a couple more who get announced shortly. I hope not Moutinha to Spurs

Liverpool look like losing out the most. Carroll and Adams left and nobody came in. Dempsey went to Spurs and no replacement for Carroll. They must be light in attack until January. If anything happens Suarez they are fucked. Owen is still available on a free.....would they be that desperate?

From an Arsenal point of view I can honestly say I'm sickened by this board. I wonder does Wenger just talk shit or is he covering for the stupidity of the board. Prior to the window Wenger said he wanted to keep his current squad together and add players with premier league experience. He has sold his 2 best players from last year and signed 3 players with no league experience. Prehaps the board would not pay the money for the players he wanted, I don't know, so he might be covering for the board.

We got rid of RVP, Bendtner & Park and replace them with 2 players, one of which will be used on the wing. We do not have enough strikers for the season. It's a joke. No direct replacement for Song.

The board have made a net profit again this transfer window. What is happening all this money we make? It's not been invested in squad. It certainly is not all going back to paying off the stadium. Arsenal have the biggest match day revenue in England and are one of the most expensive teams in Europe to go watch.

It pains me to say this but it might be good for the club to not finish in the top 4 this season. It might make the board wake up when a big cash cow runs dry.

If you haven't guessed im livid, I'm going to get drunk now

It seems Dimitar Berbatov's move to Fulham has broken down. Apparently the offer arrived at a fax machine three feet away, and not directly at his feet.

The moves may seem crazy but they're actually rather logical:

Maicon - Richards is injury prone (he's injured right now as it happens) which would result in just one right back to play every single game when he inevitably picks up an injury), Maicon is one of the best right backs in the world with lots of experience including in the champions league and even when all 3 are fit it just prompts competition so at £3mill this was good business.

Garcia - We sold Nigel de Jong our defensive midfielder who we used to kill off a game Garcia is an up and coming DM of the future in the same calibre

Sinclair - Adam Johnson was a wing player we used to exploit the flanks when that approach was needed and since we couldn't keep a hold of him a suitable and affordable replacement was made.

Nastasic - Last january we had Kompany suspended, Lescott injured, Kolo on international duty...our back line was Richards in the wrong position and Savic in the wrong position (that position being on a football pitch). Nastasic is a great young centre back who is tipped to become the Vidic of the future.

Rodwell - Mancini wanted another decent central midfielder to act as cover for Yaya and Silva plus his sale meant Everton wouldn't be forced to sell Baines to United so it did have an additional purpose.
