that I don't give credit when it is due. Obama did the second thing today of which I approve. The first thing was when he approved more troops for Afghanistan so that we can surge and get out of there.

Today, he signed a bill to increase VA benefits, including income benefits for family members who have to quit working to take care of wounded veterans. Many of you may know the respect I have for combat veterans and taking care of the military and ex-military is one of the things I consider a good use of tax money.

Ya'll are used to me "bashing" him. Well, today, he gets a "job well done" from me.

As for why I can support this, even if I disagree with him on an number of things, the Constitution is designed to provide for the common defense and having an excellent military and veterans' benefits program is part of that mandate, I believe.

I don't view sending more troops into an illegal war zone as being positive, a war which the U.N.S.C do not condone I might add. It's perfectly fine for the U.S.A to launch wars on George Bush's brand of “terrorism” though, the U.N capitalist pigs wouldn't want the streams of funding coming from the land of liberty to be cut of course. Did it ever occur to you that the U.S.A's presence in Afghanistan is no way validated, don't you realise that the individuals who are alleged to have masterminded and carried out “9/11” are living in Pakistan? The sinister intentions of this war simply reeks, we haven't even been given credible figures as to how many civilian casualties there have been.

I'm against any funding being given to the carers of U.S.A so called modern day “veterans”, why provide for people who have worn the butcher's apron so to speak? If I were citizen of the U.S.A, I would be deeply disturbed in knowing my money was benefiting people who fought a war their conscious told them was wrong, are the Iraqi/Afghanistan people getting benefits for being tortured and interrogated against their will? U.S imperialism is clearly in full swing, today's U.S.A represents everything the latter was traditionally against. On a side note, when have the U.S.A sincerely abided to any "Constitution"? Putting the U.S.A and Constitution in the same sentence is the ultimate juxtaposition.

out of interest why do YOU believe the war in Afghanistan was started in the first place? As for paying veterans i 100% support paying them lord knows some of them deserve it.

I don't really see how though mate, i've condemned Bush a lot over the years i think he was a bad president but that doesn't change that he thought he was doing a good thing and i can respect when you do something you think is good and end up fucking everything up.

It could be said that i worship Obama however with the Democrats pushing S373 and the Lacey act all my business, all my hobby resources and all my friends who do the same from the USA could be ruined.

Right now i'm pretty pissed at the democrats who have such a grasp on economy that they're trying to ruin a $3billion industry. if it was about protecting humans they would have ban dogs too because statistically they are thousands of times more likely to kill a human than any large snake.
