He said on his new twitter account that he's staying retired but understands the skepticism

He deserved the title 5 years ago and still does even though he retired

+1
No, and I don't want to be in a situation again where I have to depend on other people and have... start all over.

Can't say I blame him. I do hope he stays retired for the fact I don't want another Ric Flair. But at the same time I want the Show Stopper back :'(

Just gotta hope Undertaker wrestles til he's 150, everyone in the WWE is the same at the moment

Maybe Goldust should make the move from ECW(?) to Smackdown and fuck shit up

Taker will be gone within the next two-five years. At the moment he only wrestles about 20 times a year, he usually has about a five month break, then leaves after 'Mania. And comes back around Summerslam. I could go on and on about him so I'll stop now

Goldust is on RAW as a jobber. Which is sad, he could make a good edition to RAW or Smackdown. I'm surprised he hasn't been sacked yet

He is a legend, sacking him would be blasphemy, I actually enjoy watching him wrestle unlike Cena and whoever else they consider high profile at the moment. I miss 90s WWF.

I agree. He's helped sky rocket a lot of careers because he's become a jobber. But his own career needs a build up. He's entertaining to watch and truly cares about the buisness. But he'll be overlooked because of guys like Cena. As would I. They're all like broken records. Although I do like Orton. Hell yeah! That was the best thing to ever happen to wrestling. I liked the early 2000's too. The Invasion story line was gold

I was watching his "feud" with the Irish bloke on Youtube the other day as I had absolutely no idea he was still around the WWE in any capacity  but watching him, it was the first time (aside from watching Taker) that I'd truly enjoyed wrestling - he's a bit fat, pretty ugly and looks like a goon, but he's entertaining and his technique is awesome!! I bet though that fans don't like him, the kids I mean, the ones that get around in Cena t shirts and stuff :'(

Only us oldies remember him for the star he was :tear:

But yeah what the hell did they tell their roster to start looking like college or high school wrestling teams and drop the good storylines and feuds or what? I also hate that they G rated wrestling down since the 90s, they never shed blood, never do dangerous stunts, never have long marathon fights.. They used to earn their fans!

He's hardly ever there at all. He's one of the ones they almost randomly pull from the back and tell him to go get his ass kicked  I always liked to watch him before he became a jobber, you could always expect a worthy match. I think he's lost a good deal of weight since then, if it was the first matches from it. Probably not :tear:

Indeed :tear: His best match I will never forget was with Hot Rod at Wrestlmania in a hardcore match. That was quality right there

Their roster has horrible gimmicks and images! It does look like a high school wrestling team or something. All the storylines are the same, and their not even close to being good either. If blood is shed they call the match, What the fuck? :?: You'll never see any wrestling like there was back in the 90's or early 2000's. Its horrible. But I don't think I'll ever stop watching the trainwreck its becoming

I'm surprised they haven't lost all of their older fans, but the loss of older fans is replaced by little kids who know nothing about wrestling

Haha I can't reply to that I agree with it all, unfamiliar territory

I do have a question though, when did they start dumbing down the fights and stopping the fights from getting brutal? Tapping into the Disney crowd or just had the book thrown at them for all the injuries? :hmpf I haven't seen any cage matches or anything in years! Unless I just miss them :ninja:

I mean Jesus Christ Mick Foley used to get his ass destroyed all the time in some gory, bloody matches with all kinds of weapons, he just springs to mind cos I remember them more vividly.. :'(

It started about a year or two ago. It could be both, but the guys that always get hurt are pretty much pussies and if the kids who watch it now seen the kind of matches they had back in the 90's, I think it would make them cry. They had a cage match at the last ppv, not Summerslam, the other one. I forgot which one it was :shy: They're never good, no blood, no crazy stunts. Its pointless to have a stipulation match because nobody can take advantage of it due to the no blood rule  I miss them too, but I don't think the wrestlers now can withstand any of those matches with how brutal they're able to get :ninja:

The Hell in a Cell match with Taker  He made it fun to watch someone get destroyed because he wouldn't give up for anything. I could name about a dozen matches he's had where it was brutal. Not including his ECW days. If only I watched ECW back then :tear:
