I have never really listened to Rush. But they are very big in ol'polar bear land and very much so in Toronto. I have just downloaded some of their stuff so will give it a listen.

There's a few periods of Rush and the music sounds very different so if you happen to not like a certain album from a certain era, don't give up on them. Try another from a different era

They are from Toronto area, so you should most definitely go check them out, as a MUSIC fan...

and like Nature Boy said, give them a chance, every album basically tells a different story, some albums are heavier, some were more synth oriented and now, the new album coming out (which sounds heavier), is already sounding GREAT!!!  and they KICK ASS live! 3 hours of perfection!

I don't like Moving Pictures at all. Too many effects going on and it sounds really dated.
