HA. you're the first one i've heard saying it sucks. Vice City was the best one followed by San Andreas. GTA IV was the game that was a "shame to the whole series".  the only good thing about GTA IV is the quality. the story sucked, the characters were boring and well it was just terrible.

Edit: well taking cover was pretty cool too but yeah...

Indeed. I've heard San Andreas being called the pinnacle of the GTA series. The one game that showed all of their ambition as well as following through to make it all happen, and I've also heard it being called a defining game for the Ps2. Honestly I still love III the most but play San Andreas more than any of the others. IV was just sad most of the time except for the serial killer.
