Tony Iommi
Ritchie Blackmore
Randy Rhoads
Zakk (Black Label. work)
Slash
Joe Perry
I would never mention Slash in this context though. He already was given disproportionate amounts of credit for being Izzy's musical parasite.
yeah and that is why all of Izzy's solo albums have maybe 3 very good riffs whilst both the Snakepit albums, at least one of the VR albums and the only song we've heard from Slash's album have all together like 30 killer riffs. and hmm Izzy has how many albums out now? 11? and Slash 4? yeah well nuff said. and if you like Jimmy Page (which you obviously do) you will probably like Slash's new riff.
she kisses 2 guys: Shes a SLUT; he bangs 5 girls: Hes a LEGEND. Well, theres a simple way to see this; If you got a lock that can be open with many keys, that lock kinda sucks, right? But if you got a key that can open many locks, it's a master key;)

I'm gonna say Jimmy Page. The guy took Blues, Folk and awesomeness and somehow made it into a unique sound - even the most innocuous riff by him is actually mindblowingly sweet. At the minute my favourite Jimmy riff is 'The Ocean', but shit, the guy came up with Black Dog for fuck's sake

^ The guy plays every style wth authenticity and realness...folk, acoustic, rock, blues, 50's, rockabilly, experimental, orchestral, all within the structure of a great song. Add to that his untouchable skills as a producer, sonic engineering, and his amazing stage showmanship, nobody put it all together like this guy.

Too bad he hasn't released new music in 10 years. He sad he'll do something this year though. :banana

Absolutely agree with ya

And I read an interview somewhere where he said the music he'll be releasing this year is going to be much different to anything else he's ever done, so I'm really looking forward to hearing it :banana

Great choice.

I think Page is seriously, tremendously, sickeningly overrated as is Zep as a whole.

So many to choose from But I am gonna go with Paul Stanley.

Although I do think that Iommi is the ultimate Riffmaster, I think the best 'riff' record has to be Motörhead's Ace Of Spades. Kick ass riffs on every single song.

Tony Iommi and jimmy page
Hendrix was once asked:
"What does it feel like to be the greatest guitarist in the world?"
Jimi replied:
"I don't know, go ask Jimmy Page."
