Didn't expect that from "the last real rocker alive" to be just an other celebrity! I think he plays the old songs because most people have no clue about Chi.D. That's how it is. The old songs still "live" wonders if that will be the case in 20 years with the Chi.D songs! Just saying.

I've read different stories about Madison and the Slash policy at that particular concert. I'm not a fanatic GN'R forums visitor so I've no idea about her ways than what I've read by posters here. But whatever I still don't find Axl's rant stylish or mature.

"If I had to choose"... well, it's obvious, I'm gonna go with Appetite. But he PLAYS the new material, and if you take a biref look at the set list, it's well balanced. There are at least four or five new songs in a 17 songs set. So he plays old and new.

And he IS a celebrity. He goes in his own ways in certain points, and I haven't seen any other rockstar talk about the industry the way he talks, but, again, these shows are special gigs, and the people who know about these shows are well connected guys, it's the same thing it's always been.

His rant wasn't very stylish IMO too. I'm not a fanatic, but I see her as one of them, and she deserved some kind of an answer, as far as I know.

Why does it matter to you so much what he wears Adriana?

He looks cool at the moment.

My craft? Not get further into that than at the academy I did a project on rock clothing. Axl was a kind of fashion icon at the time. He looked interesting. Maybe you think they looked all the same, I can be wrong, but he looked different and paid a lot of attention to dress up during shows as is well known. I've wrote that often. He looked more interesting before he dated Stephanie Seymour ironically enough or because he was richer for that matter. To me and not only me he totally looks miss match these days. Even silly trying too hard looking like the young Axl..... :ninja:

And the way someone looks is a matter of taste right? He can't go back to the old days......in my opinion. Can't help it.

I know he's a celebrity he always has been since they got big. And I'm very aware that the people who knew about these shows are well connected guys. John Varvatos designs are inspired by rock as he says and feels an old rocker himself. Axl himself loved to shop a lot at Versace and Armani in the early 90's and being very rich.

Jeff Back was front row at Narciso Rodriguez which did surprise me. Fashion and music have always been related.

Well, whatever that Madison girl has done, Axl lost control. Period.
And he still leans a lot on the old days......sorry, I don't know how old you are but to me it sounds boring after 23 years. Bring more new material!

Goes back to work......pfff..... .

I'm 33. I walked my first steps in the spanish streets listening to Appetite. So, it's been two decades for me... since 1989, I was 13 back then.

And I'm hungry for new material as much as you... and I mean NEW material. I'm starving for an unplugged, a proper one... like the Alice In Chains, recorded in front of 300 people... in NYC, with the full band sitting in their asses and not in a store or a bar.
And I want a new album with 12 new songs now!!! This year, if it would be possible. But it isn't, I believe. I think they are not as independent as Bumblefoot wishes. Don't you think? I think Universal would put a lot of pressure on Axl and Axl doesn't react well under pressure. He doesn't react. Period.

BTW, did you enjoy Chinese Democracy? Just to know who I'm talking too. I enjoyed it a lot. The leaks AND the album. Now, in 2010, I think it could have been a better album with just the best 10 songs of the set, but I'm not going to complaint about the 4 I don't like. I mean, they're there.

The only thing I disagree with you it's in the boredom issue. To you, after 23 years, it sounds boring. I don't know what you mean exactly, I don't know if you're talking about music or what.
To me, the songs of Appetite or Lies or Illusions never sound boring. Never.

You're really talking bullshit. You're one of those fans who are never satisfied and you probably validate your opinion very high because you go against Axl at any given chance. The bit where Axl told how some people are officially unwanted and uninvited to their shows is so perfect for you.

I've had my share of bitching against Mr. Rose. I hated the fact he didn't do anything with Guns N' Roses for so long... I didn't like that the album took 15 years and 15 millions to make (Ok, the millions part sounds kinda cool ), I never liked the never ending line-up...
But today... He's out there, doing his thing. He's finally doing what he's best at again. The changed line-up proved to be awesome on stage, Axl looks really cool and sounds good too... The band is playing 3 hour shows, the give us regular updates on twitters and facebook... For Christs sake, Axl informs us about his doings on his twitter. Did anyone imagine that 4-5 years ago?
The band posts pics of the bastage area, they talk about b-day parties, they give us evey insight they could to not get it out of hand. Bumblefoot talks about new material... Most importantly: They are out there rocking crowds with style.

But you... you bitch and bitch and moan as if Axl had to wear the clothes you prefer, as if they had to play songs you choose... as if you had any impact on whatever Guns N' Roses does... It's like, fuck you bitch.

They're doing the best they can and Axl's style is absolutely cool for him. Trying to look like old Axl? Why, because he wears a bandana? Jeans? I didn't know that is defined by "old" Axl only. What is "old" Axl? He's Axl Rose and he can dress whatever the fuck he pleases. Is he wearing old clothes from Illusion days? Do you see any leather pants and shirtless performances like in the late 80's...

It's all a bunch of bullshit coming from you so you can show your disinfatuation to the band that rebult itself more than properly in the eyes of millions of fans. There's not one thing you're satisfied with so do Guns N' Roses a favor and stop presenting yourself as a fan, cause you plain suck.

Relying on the old stuff? That means that 90% of bands out there are relying on the old stuff  and there sure as hell isn't many of the bands that play up to 12 out of 14 songs from the new album per show. Yes, it has happened but you failed to see that because your purpose is to bitch. Not constructively, but just to bitch.

Has it ever occured to you that the new songs are much less fit to the smaller acoustic venues, like the last two shows? I don't think Prostitute would show all it's potential on such a small intimate place.. Or There Was A Time or whatever.
You talk negative crap for the sake of negative crap. That must be a sad life indeed.

You've pointed so much critisim towards Axl but the bottom line is he looks really happy and doing what he likes. I wish you are able to say that for yourself.

End of rant, peace out.  :smoking:

To you TSI? and especially to you fan: go fuck yourself! Don't you both dare to rant to idiots who start threads as "Axl weight loss" - "Ax's hair" - "Axl's rants" - "Axl's wig" - "Axl's girlfriends"- "Axl's whatever"? I didn't start those!  :finger:

I've stopped reading your rant after the first paragraph fan. I remember your rants before the tour very well!  :finger:

Strong argument. Apparently your mouth's been shut. Good.

And I doubt very highly you read only the first paragraph. Your outburst proves that very well.

I guess the constructive poins why Axl and Guns don't deserve constant bashing from you were ignored so you could resort to your usual argument, which is " :finger::lol:, you crack me up.
