It's not the SAME GNR but it's still GNR Dammit but more like A reborn version, there are shreds of the old on CD and the live shows but it's rejuvenated and fresh and super charged. Think about it if the original band never broke up and kept releasing appetite style albums they would be like AC/DC just the same same ol the old stuff is great but you cant just do the same over and over you gotta be able to evolve i think the new gnr and the fact CD took ten years to make kept GNR from going stale think about it...Chinese Democracy is only the 6th album most bands break about their 7th album personally i think GNR Is just as alive as it was all those years ago
In the mainstream public's eyes, Axl Rose is just as alive as he was them years ago playing with some random guys, the other part of GnR are doing solo projects.
It sucks that the current members dont get even an 1/8th of the attention the old band did, but thats never gonna change.
It used to be GnR, now it is Axl Rose and GnR. It sucks yeah, but thats the way it is.
