What do you think of of the whole it aint GNR crap

Okay, so i was on blabbermouth and other various forums that were discussing wether CD is the GNR's "white album", on viewing these forums everyone says things like you cant call axl roses band gnr because that would be like Paul Macartney pretending to be the beetles. What are your views on this. Personally my argument would be that many bands change members, i.e Metallica, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, plus many more. Im sick to F*** of all this it aint GNR crap. I really want to know peoples honest opinions on this

first off.. how could anyone compare CD to the "White Album".. the "White Album" is a double album... i once heard someone say its more like "Physical Graffiti" attempt..    and its not Guns N' Roses.. its the axl rose project...  if you did notice the lyrics in sorry axl says, 

" its harder to live the the truth about you than to live with the lies about me."  the truth being slash's guitar made guns n roses, axl vocals made guns n roses..  you have to have at least those 2 members to have guns n roses..

It fucking is GN'R because it's Axl. And also new musicians who play more or less the way the original members play and have a pretty similar style. They're also quite talented. But it's GN'R with a little twist 'cause it's different and changed from the regular rock stuff, it's that and then all these other things mixed with it. Kind of like industrial rock, synths and stuff like that. So Chinese Democracy is a more complicated, edited record than other GN'R albums, but that don't mean it ain't good lol. It's fucking fantastic actually.

If I was going to base the band on Axl's voice now...I'd have to say GnR fucking sucks then. But thankfully there are OTHER band members just like there has always been. Thank the invisible god for Bumblefoot and Fortus.

I don't think you are right, the things changed a lot, a lot for members came and gone and the group changed.
If in this band were only Slash and Axl I would think that this is great, but it wouldn't be GNR, because this band is formed from 5 junkeys who didn't care about anything.Axl is the voice, but he can't be the hole band.I like his new stuff, but to me this isn't GNR that I know from my early years,this is just Axl's band.

I Just think its fucking funny how these assholes keep moaning that this isn't GNR because its not the original line up and its not the same without slash and the others but technically the AFD line up isn't the original line up because the bands first line up was actually Axl Rose , Ole Beich, Rob Gardner, Tracii Guns and Izzy Stradlin.

And on my opinion the current line up is more energetic than the past line up.

Also there are loads of bands that have had several line up changes and they don't get criticized and i don't really get it.

Well. Gn'R is GnR. Its only slash people care about. gnr were on top of the world on the UYI tour and two members of the AFD line up had quit. If slash was still in gnr but the other origonals quit, the band would have double the respect and popularity than the new band do now. The new band are as musiclly talented and intersting as the origonals. Guns N' Roses Rock. Whatever Era.

IMO of course, This GNR is the Guns N' F**kin' Roses we've all come to know and love. Im happy Axl still knows how to get talent in his band. No offense to Slash but Chinese Democracy was just better instrumentally than anything on AFD or UYI.

People still don't get the fact slash is gone and they talk shit about Axl and this is not GNR, and we all go to 2010 concerts because of Axl, that is truly SHIT!!! we went to 87-2010 concets because of Axl.

Let me ask you something, If Axl had gone in 89 as he said once, people would go to GNR concerts?
I would answer, 35% of the people would go!
Axl is truly GNR voice.

And just get the fact that Axl is touring now and people's response is Amazing.
