I have set up a temporary back up forum, http://chinesedemocracy.tk/ for chinesedemocracyfor um.com. It is hosted on a company site, so I cant have adult rated content on it.

Gunns is working on a new server for chinesedemocracyfor um.com at the moment. Please tell everyone that the backup site is chinesedemocracy.tk . *Everyone has to register.

"Gunns" is currently fixing the errors which have crashed the main forum. "Randy" has created an alternative site until all the errors are fixed accordingly. Sorry to create the thread in this section, but spreading the word has been difficult.

How long is the forum going to be down?  Is it really worth starting an interim forum if the other is only going to be down for a day or two?

Ah right, I was wondering exactly what was going on. I was very drunk last night after a night in the gas lamp and wanted to post drunkenness but the site was down.

I don't know much at all about this, I've just been instructed to inform all members of the temporary forum and the errors of the main forum too. I too am a bit baffled by the "interim" forum, but administration took that decision and that's that.

I'm not going to bother joining that interim site if it's just for a short while that the site is down until. I would like more verification on the issue from the admins. Another classic case of lack of communication to their members...

Yes, I too will wait for the main forum issues to be fixed and not join the "interim" site, I'll inform each of you of the lastest when/if it breaks.

I dont know how long it will be down since we are changing servers and trying to upgrade.  Hopefully very soon.

Gunns saved the database... but nothing is a given... however there is a good chance everything will be carried over.
