I don't love Queen, though I can name plenty of their non-hits.  I tend to listen more than once or twice to get a feel for them.  But I probably spend more time at it.  I wasn't objecting to your voting for someone else.  Just your opinion regarding.

Yeah, after I posted I thought of that. It's also gay how I never voted for ANY of these bands prior to this round, I shouldn't have even voted then because my Favorite band (other then GnR) aren't even in the final three.

Anyway, my favorite band other than GN'R hasn't been in it as long as I have been voting, so I've just been going for who I'm listening to at the time.  Though Aerosmith, even not too long ago, was one of my favorites.  They've just worn on me.

When does it ever sound like there are more than 3 members, outside of the studio?  They don't sound that big live.

WTF you talking about?!?!?!?! Have you seen them live??? I have, twice, once 6th row floor, second time 11th row floor, they sound the same, IF NOT BETTER live over studio!!

I'm not saying they don't sound great.  In fact I think they sound amazing live.  I'm saying they don't sound huge, like a band I'd say there much be more instruments in.  It sounds like one guitar, one bass, and drums to me.  Some of their albums, especially the famous works, have more added in.

And what I was saying is that they sound the SAME live!!! Geddy play bass, sings and does keyboards/synths not too mention the pedals he's pressing all at once!!! And what else could one say of Neil Peart??? Damn I hope they tour again soon!!!

What they play on radio is basically EXACTLY how they play it live, that's what I admire so much about them, and the fact that they're only 3 guys!!

Neil's great.  I'm not nearly as impressed with Geddy though. 

Some of the stuff.  All of the atmospheric keyboards aren't present live though, on many of the songs.

Have you seen them live??? Videos don't justify the work Geddy puts into every show. Yes his singing voice is one of a kind, but other then that he is highly underrated!!!

Nope, just videos.  But many, many videos. 

Sure I can: Tom Sawyer.  Listen under everything, the synth and such on the album version.  Then live it's not there.

Really?  Skip to right after the opening lyrical passage.  Anyways, hmm, I guess I can't count YYZ, because it's usually there, even if Geddy doesn't play it live.  Listening to more.

Metallica - they wrote good thrash metal back in the day I suppose, but apart from that they have never been innovative or exciting to me. I do like to listen to them occasionally.

Aerosmith - great band (apart from some of their newer stuff. Who the hell is this Desmond Child character anyway?!?) but they have NEVER been innovative. Joe Perry is an underrated guitarist though in my opinion - he has a great ear for melody. But again, I don't think they deserve to be the best band.

Queen - I wouldn't have voted for them, but of these three I would say they definately deserve it. Brian May invented the whole orchestrated guitars thing, Freddie was the greatest frontman EVER, all the members wrote hit songs, and they changed their sound dramatically, seeing as how they weren't afraid to have fun with their music along with the more serious music. I would definately say Queen deserve out of these three.
