1 I think My Michele sounds fine.

2 I certainly don't think Baz is god,

3 nor would I rather have him singing any of the Guns N' Roses tunes instead of Axl,

4but well... Johnson's voice is crap,

5same as ever.  And live, his voice sounds the same, but it's not anywheres near as powerful as it once was.  Not that it isn't good for the AC/DC music, which it is, but his voice is crap.

6There's no way in hell he could sing any GN'R tune capably.  What from any of the Asian setlists could he capably cover?

7And Axl's range, it can be argued, is as good as ever, at least on CD.  His highest recorded note is from TWAT.
1 i don't

2 glad we agree on something.

3 nobody would want him to do it instead of him but loads of people still want to hear him sing it just cause he can (or in reality: could two decades ago) hit high notes. his voice is nothing special imo. heard better heard worse.

4 i could not disagree more. his voice is ace. fuckin awesome. both AC/DC singers have been epic imo.

5 yeah it sounds the same and if you're going to an AC/DC gig to hear him sing the old shit, that's a good thing. i think it's still pretty damned powerful. and again could not disagree more. i think his voice is ace.

6 it'd not be as good as hearing Axl sing it but it would still be very good to hear him sing songs like: Garden Of Eden, Nightrain, YCBM and more.

7 his range is as wide as ever but his voice is clearly not as good as it used to be. it's raspy cause Axl tries very hard to keep it raspy and not cause it's his natural way of singing like it used to be. 2001-3 voice fitted a lot of the new songs better the current Axl or the old school Axl and those that did not, the old school Axl could have done a better job on. that's just my opinion though.

3 - agreed, heard better, heard worse.  I like his strut though.

4 - like I said before, both of their voices are good for the music, but neither is an overly impressive vocalist.  Not at all.

5 - It's not as powerful as it was though, and really, he has no range.  Mick Jagger sings better now than he did 30 years ago, his voice is deeper and stronger.  That doesn't mean he was ever an impressive vocalist though.  (I use Mick as an example because one, he's old and famous, and two, I personally love him.)

6 - Maybe Nightrain.  Maybe.  You wouldn't be able to understand a word of Garden of Eden if Brian Johnson sang it, and Brian Johnson doesn't have the voice to cover You Could Be Mine.

7 - The pre-GN'R stuff doesn't sound particularly "raspy", so it's very hard to say that's Axl's natural way of singing.  (It's not Brian Johnson's natural way of singing, either.)

I never like anyone singing Gnr songs. Every cover sucks imo but i think My michelle sounds cool with Baz and Axl singing it. The only good cover is the scom in the movie Step Brothers

I dont think they'll do back in the saddle, Axl wont come out before he has too, or when he has too, he'll probably be late so My Michelle or Sorry
29/8/10 - Guns N' Roses, Leeds Festival.
25/5/12 - Guns N' Roses, Glasgow SECC

I was there (:

Why couldn't they do Back in the Saddle as part of the GN'R set?  Most of Bach's band is different than from Angel Down anyway.

If I would have a choise I would choose stuck inside from the album angel down. dispite the lack of much lyrics from Axl I think it's one of the most powerful songs of the record.

well i cant see it happening, too much GN'R material to cram in, i could be wrong, but would rather see 'Think About You', 'Anything Goes', 'Yesterdays'  or 'Dead Horse' as opposed to Back in the Saddle

At a GN'R concert...keep it simple with the good old "My Michelle"....If Baz was touring...then.."Back in the Saddle"
If I could go back in time...To a place in my soul, there all alone.....

I've seen him live, he can still hit high notes. He is a true classical singer, ie. he keeps his voice in pristine condition.

I don't know where you're coming from anyway, the parts he has on Sorry are high as fuck?

correction: Baz HAD better range. unlike both Axl & Baz, Johnson's voice is just as good now as it was 20 years ago. Baz is a good singer but you're fooling yourself if you think he can sing GNR tunes. Brian actually could due to his raspy voice. even if he did a lower version of it, it would still be 999999x better than Baz's. Baz should just stick to singing his own songs and leaving GNR songs well alone.

Baz is not a god,but the dude can sing. There's no reason to say he can't when you can go to youtube and watch any concert footage and see.My sister's boyfriend seen him last year I think it was and he said Baz ruled
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Fuck you, whore.

Johan is not nuts. At least not anymore nuts than the rest of us. He is ruled by his own psychology, which includes jealousy that he cannot sing that high.

Anything from Angel Down would be fine IMO. Some of the best Axl screams in those songs he's featured, I'd love to see him do it live!

I saw Baz open last tour, didn't know much of his stuff, but he can FUCKEN sing and he plays the crowd well, whipping that mic around lol. I'd like to hear My Michelle, mainly because I love the song, unless it means they cut our Rocket Queen, so then they should play Sorry together  or 2!!

I agree but it would still be cool
