Now I know a crapload of ya....especially the guys are gonna roll over and puke. But these are the facts. New Moon has broken all records of pre sale tickets for a film prior to it's release. It beat out The Dark Knight...all the Harry Potters and The Lord of the rings. You've got to keep in mind this is rated PG-13. It for the "tweens" crowd. It's not trying to compete with any other vampire film.... All bloody and gory..... My 6 yr old saw Twilight....but I can not take her to see New Moon. I saw the trailers and Jacob morphing would send her screaming. I really am excited to be going to the premiere opening tonight at midnight.When our pre paid tickets were picked up at the theater we are going to, said it's been sold out for days. Who'd of thunk. So I figured if we can have a ..Fuckityfuck thread....and a Toy Story 3 thread...then we can have a New Moon one also. I bet alot of you macho guys will go see it...but you'll take it with you to the grave...lol...ok... over and out !!    :smoking:

The ONLY reason it be Dark Knight is because of pre teens and teens buying ti to see rob patz & crew. :coffee

It already has...and the saga ain't even half over. Hey, I'm not getting any profit outta this movie...I'm just stating the facts...and as a wise man once said "And that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

What part of "it all ready has" don't you understand??????????? Here is the order  # 1..new moon  # 2- the dark knight   # 3- twilight ....but you have to combine #1 and # 3 and thats why the dark knight has slipped.

From what I understand, it has beat it on pre sales, but we'll have to wait until the weekend box office figures come through to see if it has beaten TDK's first weekend gross (which was $150 million domestic, I believe, a record at the time)

Maybe I'm wrong, I haven't been avidly following the projections for New Moon. It has a hell of a way to go to beat TDK though. I haven't been following the figures though :)

I guess it depends on what "actions and stuff" your talking about. Twilight saga has that also. RoboAxl has it right though...we will have to wait till tomorrow to find out. I have nothing against the dark knight...it was a fantastic movie. Like I said earlier...I'm just posting on what I read...and I was shocked that new moon grabbed those reviews.
