theory - if i had to choose between them, then piercings because you can remove it, tatoo hardly and not at all.
reality - none of them on my body..only earrings.

1º I gotta get a small tattoo and check my skin reaction. I might be allergic

you can remove tattoo too. it cost about the same (if not more) as to get a tattoo but it's possible. and removing ones pericings is more problem than you'd think. if you've had it for a short time it will still leave a scar and if you've had it longer, chances are that it wont even grow but you'll be stuck with the whole just with no metal in it. my opinion is that if you think that you might possibly want to remove your tats/peircings when you're getting it, DON'T GET IT. both will scar your body for life and if you don't think you'll like this later, there is no point in getting it in the first place. i designed my tattoo myself (with help from a professional though) and i love it. it took my about 3 weeks to design it cause i wanted something i thought would fir perfectly to my arm. i probably threw 50 designs in the trash cause i didn't like it. now i've been designing another tattoo for my shoulder for some time and i think i'm getting close to something i'd like. i'm planning on getting it in December but i'm not 100% sure though,

of course. but it's not the same to treat an alergic reaction of a small tattoo, than treating a huge mess all over your body

But I would vote tattoos, because one or two near your privates makes some FUN SEX.

and I like tattoos that are harmonious, and done as an overall work. I don't like them when they're small, and you got one here, another one there...
