Steven Tyler 'quits Aerosmith'

Steven Tyler has quit Aerosmith, according to the group's guitarist, Joe Perry.

The singer has said he is ready to work on solo material, and the rest of the band are now said to be considering their options.

Perry said: "Steven quit as far as I can tell. I got off the plane two nights ago. I saw online that Steven said that he was going to leave the band. I don't know for how long, indefinitely or whatever."

Perry also tells the Las Vegas Sun that Tyler often refuses to talk to other band members.

He added: "He's notorious for that. That's one thing I've learned to live with. I try to overlook it. I like to pick my battles.

"Frankly, the last few months I've been wanting not to rock the boat. I don't want him cancelling any more gigs. We really wanted to do these last four. We just kind of didn't want to get him any more p***ed off, for whatever reason."

The only good think about this thread is that Axl_Duff_87 is back on track!  :bow:

Sad to see such a historical band falling apart. I hope these guys will find a way to sort out this mess.

no, slayer are staying around for a while yet, they said they're new album is the first in a 'trilogy' of what will be their final 3 albums
AC/DC, it appears brian wants to go next year, so, sadly, that'll probably be it for them  :tear: (thank god i got to see them this year  :D )

I'd pay to listen to a Tyler solo album.

The guy wrote Sweet Emotion and Seasons of Wither. Fucking AMAZING songs.

Tread lightly dear friend, Chez is a massive Slayer fan. Then again, I guess I should be thankful I saw Slayer if they plan to quit soon enough? Not that they were any good..

no that's kerry speculating. Araya is pretty adament he's not hanging about for much longer.

I'd love it if Kerry's idea sticks though they're discussing it right now, but i just don't see it happening
