The 3rd post in this thread is a pic of my big girl Belle...my black beauty who I had to put down on March 13th of this year.....I miss her terribly...I can never have another dog and the kids don't understand. She was 95 pounds at the time and 12 years old...which is old for a dog of her size...as usual...her hips went out and she couldn't walk.   :'( :'( :'(

the reason dogs dont live as long as people is our hearts are guarded, we need to grow and learn how to love, from birth dogs love unconditionally from the moment they meet you, so thats why god only keeps them with us for a short while.

A lil boy said that when his dog died to his parents, read it in an article, made my friend better when my his dog died, hope it comforts you. Take care.

Thanks.....I think dogs are so different from any other animal...they can love...you are right. Belle ALWAYS felt my pain...she would come to me ..lay her head in my lap and look up at me...so i lower my head and she lapped my tears...many, many times..when I came home happy...she would start barking and running around the house like a nut...ooohhh my Annabelle Lee. Ever read the poem Rainbow Bridge ?

When I see puppies..I want to try it again....but I can't...Belle and me had a bond that I never want to have again with a dog....they don't last long and that hurt...oh no...never again. The Vet came to my house ...Belle went here at home with me singing to her...then the Vet and his assistant took her remains...they sent me a card with her paw print on it.
