I too have been watching this on my broken TV.

What is it with people these days? I think it's because we've already been everywhere and done everything. We can't set a record for being the first to sail around the world solo because it's been done. So, what do (some) people do? Do they think "I know, I'll invent a cure for AIDS!" No. They say to themselves "at the highly implausible age of 16 I will sail solo around the world - that'll get me in the record books".

At least there's one good thing - the Aussie navy are brilliant at fishing intrepid 'explorers' out of the ocean; they've had loads of practice with British sailors in the past few years.
