I love the gibson sound.
Do you recommend standard?

It's what youre into. Standards generally sound richer because they have an extra top on them for the wood finish. Whilst customs sound flatter, since they're just paint.
i think Standard sounds dated. Customs sounds killer.

I would say pick a different fucking model I'm sick of every cunt in the world pretending to be Slash like it's going out of style

It feels good to watch a band that uses Strat's these days, it's almost like seeing a fucking white rhino give birth

what TSI? said + get a recorder so you can write songs and put them online and when you play shows because people like the songs you recorded, you can buy other stuff.

Well, I actually only got a LP because of how ace they sound when NIN use them with effects on :shy:

I intend on getting a tele or some kind of Ibanez as well though eventually.
How about a pint of me?

I feel bad for saying that for the people that buy them because they genuinely think they're the best from experience or testing and trialling them

Trust me man, it was really hard to give the man my money for an LP, because I knew the accusations of being a Slash/Jimmy Page fan would be rampant. Which they have been. But then I shut folk up when I play some fucking industrial song with it :D

But there are too many people out there who buy guitars based on their idol's guitar :smirk:

I don't listen to NIN or industrial as a whole really I only ever got into Year Zero (great btw) so I'm kinda intrigued by what you're saying :ninja:

What kind of tone are you talking about?

Yeah haha, I'll bet that someone somewhere is at home singing with an exact replica of Axl's microphone with a locket of his hair amassed from his shower filter. I didn't 'get' why guitarists always opted to use obscure guitars until I got over Slash's GN'R solos and it suddenly hit me

When I say industrial, I'm talking NIN stuff, as well as early Rammstein. I listen to other industrial stuff, but those are the only two bands I have ever played any of live. Rammstein don't use Les Pauls, but in NIN Finck used one quite a bit I think. I can't think of a song for an example though :shy:

Rammstein don't use Les Pauls
Doesn't their rythm guitarist use one? And Richard Kruspe uses one for less heavy songs?  :paranoid:

No, they have Les paul models, but they aren't Gibson (so I don't count them). Their rythm guitarist, Paul Landers, has actually said he hates the sound of a Les Paul played through a Marshall amp
