Scream 4

Liked it, better than the 3. Nowhere near the first though. The ending was weak, lost a lot of its momentum by then.

7/10

The 3rd was the worst...I agree with you after the firs, the scream movies got bad
No, and I don't want to be in a situation again where I have to depend on other people and have... start all over.

I still enjoyed the 2nd and 4th, not great films but good entertainment. The 3rd was dull though.

The Postman Always Rings Twice

For the second time and it´s still one of my favorite film noirs.

Which one? Ossesione by Luchino Visconti or the remake with Lana Turner (in the ''50's) or the re-remake with Jack Nicholson and Jessica Lange?

I am a great Visconti fan. He has been an inspiration to younger me.

Edited: Ossessione! There is also French one made in the late '30's never had the pleasure to see that one. Hard to find.

My all time favorite film noir is Ascenseur pour l'échafaud with Jeanne Moreau and the great soundtrack from Miles Davis.

La Piscine - (3rd time( ?) because of Romy Schneider and Alain Delon - nice surprise it was broadcast on tv)

Bellissima - Luchino Visconti (don't know how many times I watched that one? Bless art filmhouses! )

L'emmerdeur - French 70's film with Lino Ventura and Jacques Brel never saw Brel acting. Also on tv. Hilarious tragi-comical/crime film. Very surprising. I am so bored with most slick Hollywood films and sequelitis...

All 10's!!

Stakeland - Its been awhile since i've actually seen a vampire flick which i really liked, but this movie definitely delivered. Its subtle enough for a vampire flick, and has for the most part good actors and characters. The origin of the vampires was not mentioned in the movie, and to be honest they could have used some more development.

Ossessione or the Postman with Lana Turner are very different. Both good; different decades; Italian and American approach. I first liked the one with Nicholson but some weeks ago we were re-watching and we turned it off. Visconti films are hard to find. I have seen a lot of those in the Dutch film museum. (I am trying hard to collect his films) And the arthouse film theater progammes the great old classics on many peoples requests in my hometown. Plus Belgium tv broadcast classic films too. I am a film geek....

If you really love film noir you must see -if it's possible- Ascenseur pour l'échafaud with Jeanne Moreau. There are some clips on YouTube. Looks great. That old black and white doesn't exist anymore; it's so beautiful. They still do not manage to imitate it how hard they try.

Quantum of Solace

Despite all the (unjust) criticism of the film, Quantum of Solace is fucking amazing. Sure, it lacks in some departments, especially when compared to Casino Royale, one of THE best spy films along with Bourne trilogy, but Daniel Craig is so perfect as Bond.

The story: meh, very formulaic, but Bond films aren't very focused on the story, but it's just such a fun film to watch.

8.5/10

Horribe Bosses  Fucking hilarious if you're for dirty language, ridiculous situations, black humour and not  a very real storyline. I'm not a fan of Jennifer Anniston but here she is brilliant as a nasty, fucked up, pervert bitch. Kavin Spacey & Colin Farrel are brilliant as usual
