Oops, forgot to ask uncle Google :giggle: I love chanterelles

Yeah, they are my favourite. You see them on the piece of bread in my picture. I found them only two minutes walk away from my house :).

So if someone put your food in your medicine locker you would stop eating out of fear on killing yourself from a dinner consisting of painkillers?

I know they are not poisonous because they look and smell differently.

We have the same here but they are much larger, that's why I couldn't recognize them at first. We usually cut them in slices, fry them in butter and season them with garlic & vinegar dressing

I grew up in the mountains & in spring & autumn when it's raining a lot we got tons of mushrooms. My dad is a hunter, walks in the mountains a lot & picks mushrooms as well. Some mushrooms have extremely poisonous lookalikes and you have to be careful when picking them and study them well beforehand as well. My dad used to give the ones he wasn't sure of to the dog first  The fact that he survived shows that my dad knew what he was doing
As far as I know chantarelles don't have poisonous lookalikes.

Haha :).

My friends used to pick lots of psychedelic mushrooms and use on pizza. They are easy to find on cemeteries. I also vividly recollect a friend of mine puking like a bazooka on a bus in Enschede, The Netherlands, after eating too much psychedelic mushrooms offered by one of our Dutch friends.

Nah, he was probably puking because he was watching Enschede. What a horrible city.  :fpalm:
