I was in Vancouver a couple weeks ago. There's a nice japanese store (BOOK OFF) that sells used CDs, DVDs, books and manga (imported from Japan and also local).

Well, you can get albums in MINT condition for $3.5, so I went bananas and bought over 50 albums... most of them from japanese bands, but also some music from this side of the Pacific Ocean... Got Emancipation (Prince), Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness for $3.5 each plus lots of Kuroyume, SADS, Siam Shade, Tool, Primal Scream, Izzy Stradlin, Curve, Kiyoharu, Nanase Aikawa, YMO, hide, Dir en Grey and L'Arc en Ciel albums. The best part is that it's very easy to find special editions, also, all the albums and singles I got come with all the stickers/inserts and whatever shit they came with originally :D

Excellent find and thanks for sharing. The Izzy Stradlin recordings caught me. They've gotten the best of Izzy in Japan - we don't seem to have members from there in this forum. I've bought some imports online but paid dearly for them.

Give them a call or send them an email, maybe you know someone in LA or NY who can go and take a look or maybe the store can ship them to you, or if you happen to go to a city where there's a store you should go and check it out.

At least in the store in Vancouver you have to look for the stuff yourself in the shelves, which can take HOURS. I've spent up to 3 hours browsing and looking for stuff, but it's so cheap and the CDs are in such great condition that it's worth it :thumbsup:

I bought two CDs today - the new albums from Arctic Monkeys ("Suck it and See") and the Foo Fighters ("Wasted Light") - both great, but I'm digging the new Foos effort slightly more.
