This thread is great...

I am a huge fan of original CD's and in the last two years I really started buying it more often... The last one I bought was The Police:Greatest Hits and I bought me 8 new CDs in last two months...
I love each and every one and I currently have 79 original CD's and I'm proud

I wanted to tell you guys something else... In Slovenia it really sucks to be a CD enthusiast. We have two major, let's say "good", CD stores that mostly hold garbage. I can't walk into a store and buy me a Led Zeppelin III. You have to work very hard and be very patient to get Exile On Main Street or maybe hope for Ozzy or Sabbath albums... Nothing... Here and there you get something but it's really annoying... I've been loking for Nails' albums for a year now and all I can get is Ghosts

... All they have is greatest hits of this and that.. A few years back it was good, there were shops with ful discographies, Beatles, Stones, Eagles... I remember watching all those records and I thought, man I have to get me this some day... What did I know the record store I though was the greatest in the world couldn't survive...
How are your countries stocked with discographies from various bands? In Slovenia there's not much demand for anything like that. Some national artist sell, U2 and Jacko get respectable numbers and RBD keeps showing up on the chart

... It sucks to be a rock fan with an addiction to legendary albums...
Anyway, the point of the story is something else... When Chinese Democracy came out it was priced from 14 to 16€, which is a normal price for a new CD. But now, the two record stores I was talking about earlier, have very different prices... Müller still has it priced around 15€... In Big Bang for the past few weeks they'we had a whole shelf of Chinese Democracy albums and it was priced 5.95€... The Spaghetti Incident was twice the price

...
The only explanation is that when the CD came out they bought many because let's face it, it's Guns N'Roses... And they sold nothing... Even the guy who works there and is a friend of mine said that very very few people bought this record and now they're giving it practically free...

.... That's just sad...
And then I wanna buy me a Beatles' album and it's priced 18€... Fuck You!
Salute to those who buy originals...
