After hearing that, I wonder if its the same song. ("Box"). If it is, it makes me think Axl is less likely to use it if Izzy already released it.  I'd love to hear Axl singing it though.  Great song, worth hearing on its own merit, even if GNR never records it.

wrong.
I thought this is what became of it....

"Box" by Izzy Stradlin

Lives in a box down by the ocean
Down off the main road by the hill
Takes what he finds and eats it right there
Makes what he can with what he will

He don't ride the bus
They don't let him drive
There he walks for miles, a day
Cause he ain't got no ride

Lives in a box down by the ocean
Down by the seaside at the hill
Palm trees they make the view look good there
Even though he looks pretty ill

Lives in a box down by the ocean
Down off the main road by the hill
Takes what he finds and eats it right there
Makes what he can with what he will

But you are expressing your opinion lol. The fact is Bumblefoot is the lead guitar player for a band called Guns N' Roses. A FACT. Don't live your life in denial. It's ok that Mr.Cancer has moved on and Axl has replaced him with someone MUCH more loyal and technically gifted. Accept it bro.

ummm... the majority of ppl still think "mr cancer" i.e. SLASH is still the lead guitarist of GNR, either that or they simply dont give a fuck, I would put my money on the latter actually...
the average music fan doesnt give a shit about gnr anymore and this is quite evident i mean look at the sales figures of CD, the amount of airplay the singles received, the general buzz surrounding the band etc etc...
i myself follow gnr and even i think teh rotating door of guitarists/other musicians is fucking pathetic so imagine if the average music listener WAS aware of this? Christ gnr would be even MORE of a laughing stock in todays music landscape hahahaha  :mwa

  • Oh, I paid the price...
I doubt Axl will use any song that neither he nor any member of current GNR had any part in making. I expect they've got easily enough material to make a second album fairly quickly (as in not 15 years).
An empty shell seems so easy to crack.
Got all these questions.
Don't know who I could even ask.
So I'll just lie alone and wait for the dream.

You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? j/k

Just because a band is not #1 on the billboard USA charts doesn't mean they are not great.
"Slash either should not have been in Guns to begin with or should have left after 'Lies.' In a nutshell, personally I consider him a cancer and better removed, avoided -- and the less anyone heard of him or his supporters, the better"

Quite a lot of people at my school are into Chinese Democracy, they were into old Guns N' Roses, however in the U.K. Chinese Democracy has had poor radio play (On Kerrang!, its full of the mainstream indie, pop/punk, pop/rock mainstream shit though  >(  )
Also it may have not debuted at number 1, but neither did Appettite for destruction, that went on to sell millions of albums because it was an amazing album, so is Chinese Democracy.

But i am not sure if that song would be covered by Guns. They do covers, this sounds like it could have came from GNR Lies album.

I do not think Axl would cover this song, be great if he could
only time can tell us the answer.

umm haha?  :?:
and sadly, and i hate to admit it trust me, but its just what im saying is that, sadly, dont get me wrong in saying this, i just think the harsh reality is the majority dont believe they are great anymore, i myself, unfortuneatly being one of those ppl, i just hate what they've become kinda, no matter whether or not they're number one even if they were that wouldnt change my mind at all...
which brings me to my next point though, im absolutly not saying a band has to be # 1 to be good i hate mainstream music and listen to bands most of YOU PEOPLE have never even heard of :P
what im saying is the fact they arent isnt great for the future outlook of the band in the eyes of the label/industry, mainstream modern music listerners (the majority of which being morons who merely follow trends and listen to everything bullshit MTV tells them too) and also the gnr haters/"old gnr" whores who are now throwing this fact in our faces every chance they get haha <3
