Actually, I use to do "Patience" all the time. Let me try and work that one up. The reason I haven't posted GnR covers here is because I don't sound like Axl Rose but I know the temptation to compare. I do it, too. But alright, I'll work on "Patience" if you'll have a little patience. Get it? Man, I'm too funny. Stop me...

I did a demo of "Shackler's Revenge", acapella, since I don't know the guitar chords and I'm still thinking about it. Again, I hesitate to do GnR covers here because I do not sound like Axl, not even close. I do what I can do and that's all there is.

Anyway, turned on by Darkness, here's another stab at trying to sound like Justin Hawkins doing "Long Way to the Top" by AC/DC, covered by yours truly.

I'm trying to record "Patience" and keep running out of battery juice. This may take a while.

ETA:

Still working on "Patience." All of my batteries are low so I did two demos, one for the low melody, one for the high melody. The high melody had a lot of crackles because I am singing so loud, I'm overdriving. I'm on pitch but it's overloading. I'm going to try and figure something else out. Have patience, rkgirl.

I also have a "Long Way" version where I don't try to sound like Hawkins.

I'm just not proud of the Shackler's Revenge bit. Granted, a capella can be hard to do but I feel my low range is a bit too rough and I did crunch a note on the high end, so I may redo that and see what I think about it.

To make matters worse, I was reviewing the high end of "Patience" and realized I was in the wrong key and I would just as soon record the whole thing right, the first time.
