i agree, at least 10-15 pms per hour...this could be ok/enough.

I don't know if discussion boards are dimensioned for that kind of traffic. Why not use a service dedicated to chatting, like MSN or IRC, instead?

Sure, I've done it. #newgnr at Undernet.

For people unaccustomed to IRC:
1) Download and install an IRC client (e.g. mIRC from http://www.mirc.com/get.html )
2) Log onto an UnderNet server
3) When you're asked to enter a channel just name type newgnr
