Dream semi-finals in Roland Garros.

Players ranked 1#, 2#, 3# and 4# will square off for a place in the final and a chance to win a trophy.

Rafael Nadal (1)  VS. Andy Murray (4)

Novak Djokovic (2)  VS. Roger Federer (3)

Roger Federer ended Novak Djokovic's amazing winning streak that lasted for 43 matches dating back to his wins in the Davis Cup in December 2010.

On the way Novak has won 7 consecutive titles which included 1 Grand Slam, 4 ATP Masters 1000 Series, 1 ATP 500 Series and 1 ATP 250 Series.

This is already the best Novak's season and congratulations to him for his amazing run. He was withing grasp of the NR. 1 spot, but now Rafael Nadal has a chance to keep the NR. 1 ranking for at least a month longer, if he manages to defend the title.

And now to the main event...

Tomorrow we can expect another epic final. The two greatest players of all-time and in my opinion the greatest rivals in the history of the sport will contend for the Roland Garros crown.

This will be the 5th time they play here and Rafael Nadal is up 4:0, and that includes SF win in 2005 as also F wins in 2006-2008.

Federer is trying to win his 2nd RG title, while Nadal is bidding to equal Bjorn Borg's record of 6 titles on the Paris clay.

Their overall Head To Head is 16:8 for Nadal and that includes 11:2 on clay alone. Nadal has also defeated Federer in the last two matches this year.

But Federer is in an amazing form, arguably the best so far this season, so let the best man win on Sunday.

VAMOS RAFA!!!

Should be a great match for sure.  I obviously want Federer to win, but i will not be too disapointed to see Nadal triumph, he is without doubt the King of Clay.  Bittersweet for me because i was hoping Nole would break the undefeated streak records....  and my favourite player stopped him from doing so.

Roger was better yesterday and deserved the win, congrats Bumb.l.

I am very sad and probably will never forget this match. I knew once Novak's series had come to an end but he lost in the worst moment. He had historical chance and I'm afraid it will be very hard to come close again and probably impossible to break McEnroe's record. Matches against Fonini and Tipsarevic were not counted as a victory cause they withdrew, and they were just enough for the new record. :smirk:

I expect great match tomorrow. I will not root for Roger tomorrow, I prefer to wait Novak to win number one by winning. Anyway, may the best man win.

Next step for Nole, Wimbledon!:)

Bjorn again: Nadal downs Federer to match Borg's French Open record

Rafael Nadal played tennis to match his first seeding, winning a thrilling final against long-time rival Roger Federer. In a match that lasted 3 hours and 40 minutes, the Spaniard triumphed 7-5 7-6(3) 5-7 6-1.
The 25-year-old's Roland Garros title was his sixth, equalling a feat achieved by only one other in the open era - Bjorn Borg.
By defending his 2010 title, Nadal will retain his No.1 ranking, which would otherwise have gone to Serbia's Novak Djokovic.

Congrats!

Thank you Marko.

THE KING OF CLAY RESTORES ORDER IN ROLAND GARROS

Rafael Nadal has defeated Roger Federer for 17th time in his career to win his 6th RG crown. Nadal is now tied with Bjorn Borg for the most titles on Paris clay and has secured the NR. 1 ranking at least until the end of Wimbeldon.

Final score: 7:5  7:6  5:7  6:1

This is Nadal's 10th Grand Slam title.

God, let's hope that won't be the case! Unless you're a Federer fan, because that would give him the perfect chance to win Wimbledon again. However, I cannot see Federer beating Nadal in the final, if they both get there.

I never understand why they want Murray to win at Wimbledon. When England and Scotland are playing rugby or football, you want to kill them. But Andy Murray is not 'Scotish', but 'British'. Fucking bullshit.
Oh, and he won't win.  :slywink:

It's a shame that would be the reason to post in this thread.  ;)

Nadal has since declared he is fine and will play the QF.
