He looked avarage against Blake today, but he won convincingly and thats the most important thing.  No Nadal in the tournament so it would make for a great boost going in to the french open for federer if he could pull this one off.

I think Murray will triumph in this tournament though to be honest.  He tore Robredo apart in the second set, and robredo is a clay specialst

In all honesty here.... This was the best performance Federer is capable of and the worst from Nadal. And it was still almost a tie.

That must have hurt Nadal, he had a huge record on clay. If Nadel has a few long hard matches on the way to the French final and Roger cruises through then maybe he is in with a shout of beating Nadal
