Is anyone here a fan of tennis? I first started watching it when Pete Sampras was the king in the 90's...

Currently my favourite player is Rafael Nadal, his performance is unbelievable... At the moment they're playing a masters 1000 in America and I hope he wins second in a row.

Can't wait for the grand slams to start :D

im a big tennis fan, my favourite is Roger Federer, although he aint exactly on fire at the moment.

Cant wait for Wimbledon :banana

Me too.... Have you seen Federer's performance against Novak Djokovic? Terrible...

And I couldn't believe Del Potro beat Nadal >(



Ah well, in Roland Garros I think Rafael will be unstopable :D

Federer has been on a slide since wimbledon to be honest, but he is still a force to be reckoned with on his day.

Nadal losing was a shock but he is on course for all the slams.

Roger better get his act together. Im a huge Fed fan (I had typed Roger but it looked dirty) but if Nadal beats him again at Wimbledon then I think its bye bye Roger.

Murray will be dangerous at the US Open and Nadal will walk the French every year so without Wimbledon Roger will have nothing. 

I cant see Fed playing until he is 31-32 and not winning anything, I think he will retire in the next 1-2 sessions if he doesnt manage to beat Nadal in a few majors.

roger seems arrogant in a way that shows hes to young and his parents forgot to teach him humility. therefore he can never be a gracious winner or a gracious loser. it will always be oh he won oh he lost (tantrum) therefore history will forget him because he did not heal what he stripped from his opponent. there is no character there which is what tennis is all about

tennis shows grace and dicipline underpressure that is precise and accurate. kind of like a computer engineer is supposed be like but some also miss the mark. thats why popl watch it. any leadership position requires this kind of character and thats who watches tennis. it releives their frustration.

thats my take anyway

I dont think Roger is arrogrant at all, he seems gracious to me also. Nadal is the ultimate in humility but I think a lot of that is down to his poor English also Nadal does use gamesmanship during matchs to put other people off.

After Wimbledon last year Roger started crying, that could be viewed as being ungracious but I think it was his will to win that pushed him over the edge.
