As I've said before, I think Chinese Democracy would be a great opener.

However, when I think back to Newcastle 06 and the first chords of Welcome To The Jungle, during the eerie opening, I get goosebumps and want to do that again.

For the sake of Pawnshop Guitars and Kill Your Idols, it has to be jungle. Honestly, it was that good.

Hopefully, we'll get the chance to find out.

So, who else has never been to see GNRs Live?
Any more experts on music that somehow "forgot" to go see the Show?
(not aimed at you pwnshop)

First time I saw em' was on the strip..Troubadour, Ritz and I've been at so many concerts that I have honestly lost count!!! Some stick out-like St.Louis (I left without throwing or stealing anything) and earlier Donnington....total ly insane mob,where Landon Siggurs and another person were trampled to death...the crowd surge was unimaginable. Some of the "fans" that throw things should have had the shit beat out of them imo.
It's always interesting and always different, ex: in Birmingham 91 they used a horsetrack as an arena, and it smelled like it too (daytime show). I actually prefer the overseas shows I am able to attend-but some of the transpo sucks!!! some of the lodging does as well.
 I don't really have a favorite....parts of each show are favorites,and some better than others. And I have a massive collection of Tshirts and Jackets....I never was one for keeping up with ticket stubs though...
You guys don't know what you are missing !! 06/7 rocked as well.....Good thing I don't have a 8-5 job, I'd be bankrupt and fired several times over.....

Nah i've seen em 3 times in 06, but unfortunately wasn't old enough to see em when they performed in the 90's and wasnt even born in their appetite days.  :(

I have been to 4 of their concerts, and only was able to watch them on 2 ocations. The other 2 due to situation besides my control i missed them-
But those 2 shows man they changed my life and ill be dammed if i miss the show next time they come around this neck of the woods.

Iv'e never seen GnR, I had tickets to see them in 2002 but they cancelled.
In 2006 I couldn't go as I couldn't get the time off work, damn NHS hospitals :yuck
Iv'e seen alot of ex-members but it still sucks!

Jungle is such an awesome opener, the way they did it like in 06/07.
  Wirh the eery music at the start, then out of nowhere, the opening strums to Jungle.
Will seem weird Robin not doing it.

Other's that would be brilliant and something different; 'Scraped', 'Riad' and probably 'Chinese Democracy'.

Oh maaan, I cant fucking wait to here the new stuff live!!

If Axl want to move on then I think Chinese is the proper opening with the long intro that slowly leads into the main riff, and then Axl's trademark scream to get the crowd into a frenzy. I think Jungle should be somewhere in the middle of the show after a ballad or two.

I've seen them 3 times. The 4th time I went Axl was a no show in Philly. The 02 show I went to honestly left alot to the imagination. The thrill of seeing GNR for the first time far outweighed the concert. But the two in 06 were great. Pretty much the same set list both nights though. I would really like for them to play some other songs this time around. ie: Breakdown, Locomotive, Coma, I guess just more stuff from UIY.

I`ve never seen them live either,and I seriously envy u WC!I bought tickets for one of the 02 shows and they canceled,so...I just hope to see uncle Axl at least once before I die.I hope I still have enough time, coz with his pace of doing things..... :argh
And back on topic, I agree that WTTJ is a classic opener, but they should do smth from CD now,a new era has started!
