Maybe get banned from seeing sections of the forum?

Say I start calling everyone in the news section "faggots", I'm banned and can't go to that part of the forum for say... a month?

Or... get me as a mod, and things WILL improve

At the end: no-one likes when he/she is insulted by anyone.(please stop saying who started because there was a discussion about it before). So COULD WE ALL START FROM NEW BEGINNING DISCUSS about whatever WITHOUT ANY PERSONAL ATTACKS??? (also including saying opinions about a person who discuss in a thread).

If you want to say the opinion about the object of discussion, let´s say it and respect other´s opinions; you can say "you´re totally wrong/right; i think this(opinion!!) is stupid (without meaning that ´you/the person you answer to/ are stupid´);" and let´s put the arguments on. ("discussion" = "changing opinions") Don´t tell anyone that his/her thread is stupid etc., because if you don´t like it, you don´t have to read it or discuss it, it is only your own choice and no-one else´s!!

So can we all  start again and leave out any personal attacks and vulgar words??? This should (imo) make discussion better and  worthwhile.   
(p.s.: on the forum, where i´m a mod, i delete every posts which include personal attack and it works out. there´s no need to ban anyone.)

If you don´t like anyone (as many people here don´t like Warchild - please don´t start to tell me why!!), that´s your bussiness, you don´t have to discuss with him/her, you don´t have to read his/her posts, it´s all up to you.  If you want fight with anyone, find another forum which is specialised for fighting.

PLEASE, could you ANSWER here "Yes, i´ll try."    or    "No, i´m not gonna try it."

Without enforcing control by banning you must rely on people's goodwill to have a friendly and constructive forum. And usually that works well. At least for most other boards I frequent. There will always be some friction, but I don't think most people have a big problem with a little heat as long as it ends. The problem is of course that only one rotten apple that doesn't understand this can ruin the whole forum because he/she will cause so much noise that it drowns all the interesting discussions and threads. And if this happens on a regular basis negative fronts and are created and this may cause disturbance for long periods of time. It just sours the whole feel of the place.

Look on the forum the last few days. Really nice, right? People are enjoying their discussions. People are generally pleasant. And this happened after Warchild took a time-out (probably sulking somewhere).

I agree with it all, but there needs to be a compromise between you guys and the news section, he'll be back soon.

How about unless it's genuine news, the flamers will need to excuse themselves from each others threads in the news section.. Common sense, actually, but some people need a nudge I guess!

Well, again, moderators don't have the power to ban, so get creative if you wanna shake things up

How about unless it's genuine news, the flamers will need to excuse themselves from each others threads in the news section.

What annoys me and lots of other people is the destruction of the news section with utter crap threads. Mister Brownstone moves/locks a good few of them but he then gets accused of being anti Warchild and no doubt La Familia complain about him to Sladdi. Some of the threads in the news section the last few weeks have been just ridiclous.

The people that post such threads continue to post these threads after previous threads have been locked, they just dont what to take the hint and that to me is showing no respect for this board.

People check out the news section for the latest news, not to see threads on CD being overproduced etc.

The point made about ignoring others peoples threads to me is just BS, if someone is constantly posting crap in the wrong section then people have every right to voice that. Anyway when Dave posts he gets trolled beyond belief by La Familia who on the other hand are telling people if they dont like Warchilds topics/posts ignore them but they dont practice that. 

I agree with what Soulmonster said, this place has been great without La Familia the last few days, its a much nicer place to post. This board could be this good all the time like it was before La Familia arrived.

Ive been guilty of flaming here,but it was brought about on every occasion by pure frustration at the lack of respect to others and in particular newbies shown by certain users-unfortunately when you ignore WC he takes it as a green light to do as he pleases.
I must say this section has been lovely and peaceful recently...

The none news threads?

A lot of them are related to CD, so the CD section or the tour section as a lot relate to that too. A general discussion section would solve most of the tread issue problems. Or just dump them in fun, whatever or flamers, or lock them.

The problem has gone away the last few days. It isnt that big a problem until people start posting like 4 or 5 topic a day in the news section, that totally clogs the place up you know and makes your job a lot harder.

Most of those topics could fit in the CD section, such as ones discussing the production. But others, such as "in defence of the Billboard interview", could potentially have their own section, though the're still unneeded. Discussions such as that could have easily taken place within the original article. However,although a big change, I think a CD discussion section would solve pretty much most of the problems that exist in the forum.

I see how some people can't turn loose of a bone they have to pick. The Section I post in is called (and I Quote) Is called
"News,Updates,Rumors,Discuss GNR."

There are only a handful of people that for some reason seem transfixed with me, Don't really Understand it. Most people LIKE my posts and discussion topics-and it would be nice not to have them spammed continually.

My PM box is generally full of positive comments,and not just from La Familia. And my topics are more intersting and indepth than the laughable "GNR inspired fashion show"
that someone copied of GNR daily..(This isn't the only place to find news).

I am willing to abide by TSI's suggestions, you guys do realize most of you are flaming me in a non-flaming sticky?
Bad Manners,show TSI some respect.
 And I have more friends than detractors here,You guys can run amok in the flamepit and write "report" several million
Times....whatever.
