Agreed. Although the actual Lesbians I have seen are more manly than I am; sadly I think porn has misled us on the whole sapphic scene :tear:

a funny point though, two gay people I know seem to be totally against Lesbians. They call them "B&Q" lesbians, and say stuff about they build sheds as hobbies. They say something like the sex they have isn't sex, it's like "they just rub together - are they trying to make fire or something?" Is this a normal attitude for gay people, or just the ones I know?

Uh... question. There's a fair bit of gay guys at my school. Yet, some of them act like total princesses, or really "bitchy", and some of them are totally cool and actually act the same as the rest of us. Can you explain that to me? Because I swear, the "princesses" acts more feminine than actual girls.

Also, which is less offending, gays, or homosexuals?
Mathematical.

They'd definitely be the ones that give gays a bad name. I could name 5-6 closet-ers in my town.

2 of them happen to be close mates from my school days :O

I can't confirm it, but I have good gay-dar. No offense Soul, I just happen to be good at picking even the stubborn ones!

Okay, well this answer is a mix of a few different things.

1) Usually guys who act really gay are doing so because they are insecure with their sexuality and feel as though they need to convince everyone that they genuinely are gay.

2) (this is a rare one and seems far fetched, but ive been in this situation myself)

Remember a while ago in this thread where i said really fem guys who had their own cars weren't called gay because they are getting used by their so called friends? well this is where that ties into the gay issue. The girls that hang around them shine them on so they can continue to use them. they say how being gay is no ones business. they continue to give moral support and even try to step in and have sex with these guys in order to help them figure themselves out. so they act really really feminen to try and convince that they really are gay. These girls should take the hint that these guys are obviously comfortable with being gay and only act overly feminen to get out of the idea of having sex with them.

3) They are trying to attract other gay guys and act this way because they dont know if they look and seem gay without acting really feminen.

4) Some do it just to piss people off.

5) Some are actually that feminen. but those who act it, always over due it way too much.

hope this helps you understand a little more.

Gay-dar? i completely disagree. Some are just too had to tell.

To Max-Powers: the term Gays and the Term Homosexuals is the same. Gay people dont mind either one. i would say Homosexual is less offensive because its the actual scientific term, but again, their the same really.

Axl Rose wore that shirt on the Illusions tour. It was white with black writing.  :D

I know, that's where I got the idea.
Axl's a rock star, he is supposed to shock.
Me, I'm just a regular guy, so the looks would be "priceless," a Mastercard moment.
GNR: 5 times, VR: 4 times, Slash solo: 2 times, all the other bands I've seen don't matter.

oh shadow, you're very brave   :mwa !!

it takes a lot of courage to do what you're doing. I think (or I imagine, to be more accurate) that the hardest part of being gay is not to face society, your family of your friends. the hardest part of being gay is to face yourself... to admit that you're different is something that not any person is ready to do.

I talk of experience. not because I'm gay (yet hahah), because I'm a complex person too. I have my "issues" and I'm different... sometimes I feel like I'm going against the tide and it's so tiresome

by the way... how did you know you were gay? were you always like that, since you were a kid or did you feel you started to change at some point of your adolescence?

Why is it for some reason chicks love gay guys? Not to be a dick but is it the fact that they can check out guys together? They can go shopping together? Or watch chick flicks?

dunno... for many years I had a mail best friend. I always talked to him and I asked him wether he had ever had feelings for me and he always said NO. But when he got drunk he acted weirdly... and I tell you, it was a friendship of manyyyy years.

I suspected he was always by my side because of the distant, mere possibility that we might screw someday after an alcohol party. so I decided to convince him that I was lesbian. I was lying, of course, but I've been so fucking convincing (I'm a great narrator hahah) that he believed it... well, after that, he never called me back, he didn't even replied me by msn so I got mad and dissapointed and I deleted him from my contacts. we've never talk again and I realised that he wasn't really a good friend. that wouldn't happen with a gay.

I suppose that's a good answer. I've got a few female friends that I only got to know because I wanted to get in their pants. Although now I'm in the friend zone I have no intention of leaving it, but I can definately relate.
