Firstly, I'm not sure if this is in the right section or not, and if the Mods, or Sladdi think it would be better placed in the New Members section, then by all means move it, but it's not specific for new members, so I thought it would be better placed here.Right; I've been visiting this site for some years now, and started visiting the forum around a year ago. The site, and then later the forum, were excellent sources of info and news for me, and later when I joined the forum, it was also an excellent source of entertainment.
Since I signed up to this forum, I have grown to love it (though I stand by what I said a few days ago, if Abaraxas is banned, I'm leaving), and, since I have virtually no hope of ever becoming a mod, I have been trying to think up some way of giving something back to the forum I love (even though, IMHO, it is but a shadow of what it once was

), and I finally came up with this: Linguistic Tutorage!
I only have the basic outline of what I want to do, but I expect the idea will work itself out as I go along. Pretty much, I've noticed that for a lot of people on this forum (probably most), English is not their first language. There are varying degrees of competence throughout the forum, but even the most accomplished members still occasionaly make very basic mistakes (this is in no way a criticism, I could never become so accomplished at a foreign language).
Therefore, I have decided to offer my services, for those that want them, in helping members to attain a stronger grasp of the English language. This won't be me teaching people how to speak and write English, as I understand Faridbak does for people wishing to learn Spanish. Instead, assuming it works out ok, I'll go through all the posts of people that request me to do so, and point out where you have made grammatical, or other, mistakes. Hopefully this way, you'll learn, and so will other members who read what I write. However, I wouldn't really wan't to be 'tutoring' more than 2-3 members at a time, as I'm very busy at the moment (Coursework

), and I'm willing to tutor people of any standard. Even members such as SoulMonster, whose English is nigh on impeccable, and Faridbak, whose English is also very good, sometimes make basic errors, so you're never to good to learn (Hell, my English isn't exactly perfect)!
Things you should note, however, if you are interested:
1) I have a tendancy to be incredibly pedantic, so I may very well end up correcting you on things you already know, you just missed it whilst rushing, or couldn't be bothered to put it in
2) I may also piss you off if you are having a heated discussion with another member, and I come in to tell you you've missed an apostrophe, so beware!

If you are undeterred by all this, and would like my help, please feel free to PM me, or leave a post in this thread. Thanks
