Wow, indeed. The height is similar to a Great Pyrenees, slightly less weight, and a wolf can manage sprints of 40 mph to chase down free range deer and antelope and bison.

Here's a pic of the gray wolf my friend was rehabbing. The size is deceptive because of the height of the hurricane fence. That wolf is actually close to 30 inches tall at the shoulder and about 120 lbs.
