A few days ago i bought the 2 CD album Live Era '87-93' because it was the only G N R CD i did not have. I really love this album and am so glad i bought it. What does everyone else think of it as a live album.

I think it's good for a live album, but usually I'm not a real fan of live cds, though I enjoy dvds.

Im not sure but have heard that some of the songs on it have re-recorded vocals and parts ect.
also i heard alot of the songs are from the one concert in 1992 which if true kinda sucks because it should have had like there first gigs as they were going through the LA club scene and stuff.
But i have no complaints about this album i think it fucking rocks
29/8/10 - Guns N' Roses, Leeds Festival.

Live albums are shit but it's not a bad compillation Prefer the studio albums I don't like "Knocking On Heaven's Door" Glad they don't do that number anymore.Ozzy number "Its alright" is a nice intro to November Rain.

i think that its just as good or maybe even more enjoyable than the actual albums. it was only rated 2 stars, but the music critic that rated it is a fucking asshole idiot.

I am listening to it now. It's just as good as any other Guns N Roses album, the recording etc is really good.

I think some of the songs were from Donnigton in 1988 where those 2 young lads died. Axl kept saying ''move back'', ''move back'' to the crowd, and 2 people died as a result of everyone pushing to the front and crushing people at the front.

It sounds like the whole CD is the Donnington concert actually. Slash was quoted as saying ''imagine going from an all time high after doing a gig like this, then being told that 2 people died, and you then hit an all time low. It was at that point Guns were named 'the most dangerous band in the world'

That's also partly why Axl started to hate the press.

My best song on the album is 'move to the city' where they have the piano's, keyboards and Brass sections playing, thats really cool. They all do their own little solo's as the song plays.

The album is good, but i miss one of my favorite songs: Civil War. Other misses: Live and let die & Double Talkin' Jive with the solos.
When I'll find out all the reasons
maybe I'll find another way,
find another day...

Does anyone have on DVD or CD etc the live in Paris concert? That was another awesome Guns N Roses gig. I had it on Video because I recorded off the TV in about 1993, I think it might have been a part of the illusions tours. That concert was absolutely excellent, Axl walked out on stage with a spliff in his hand too lol.

Lenny Kravitz played as a guest appearance at that one too I think, excellent!
