First, thanks for being so cool and answering fan questions.
Q. When GNR is admitted to the Rock N Roll Hall of fame, the organizers will ask the original band to perform a few songs. Would you be willing to play with them again, if only for that event?
Q. Have you read Slash's autobiography, and is it mostly truthful? Are there any parts, without getting deep into details, that are feel are not truthful? He says that you might have different versions of the events, but he gives his opinion of what happens. What do you think of his version of the events?
Q. You've worked with various members and ex-members of NIN. Do you still listen to NIN, have you met Trent Rezor or worked with him in any fashion, and what do you think of Trent Reznor's decision to leave the record labels behind and release his material through his web site?
Q. Axl, it's been 10 to 15 years at this point, a lot of fans, even if there is no reunion, would like to see you, duff, slash, etc on speaking terms again. Even after all this time, you still seem unwilling to speak or work with those guys. They, however, usually speak positively about you in the press. You've all achieved success in your own careers since the old band ceased to exist. Basically, even if the original lineup never reforms, a lot of fans would like to see the never-ending feud end, and at least see ya'll on speaking terms again. Would you be willing to speak with those guys if they contacted you?
Q. Which come first for you, lyrics or music? Have your guitar playing skills increased over the years, and how often do you write songs on guitar? It would appear that piano is your primary songwriting instrument.
Q. Does Slash actually send you a Christmas card every year? (He said on Letterman that he does).
Q. In retrospect, what do you think of the time that Slash came by your house a few years ago? Would you handle those events differently in retrospect? (not letting him in, the press release, etc).
Q. If Robin is gone, at least temporarily, what are you thoughts on bringing buckethead back in? Can you comment on his "erratic" behavior that separated him from the band? He is talented, but obviously a very "different" kind of person.
