Ugh now, did you ever hear Bach do "My Michelle"?

His "Paradise City" at Wembley Arena was not good either... :?:

Im sure Slash has said in the past that they didnt want VR to sound like GnR thats why they got Scott, becasue his singing is so different to Axls.
Yep,I remember smth like that too... :D

I think the rest of the band (Slash, Duff, Izzy and Adler) would show up at the hall of fame

but Axl would not just show up and play with them, they would have to talk about it first

Woa, I'm actually surprised about Slash praising Chinese Democracy. I'm more cheerful about it than anything.

Lets see how many years it will take before that so called "material for 3 albums" gets out.
Personally, I think it would be best if a new album came within one-two years max. That is, if it is true that there are a lot of 'finished' (but what is 'finished' for Axl if there will be years of re-re-recordings) songs for 'next' albums.

I really hope that we will see new albums in the next years, and not yet another 5-10+ year break.

Also looking for a 'sign of life' from the GNR camp. An announcement on the homepage ("Chinese democracy lands in America") about the album just isn't enough. People are already wondering what is going on and I hope the tradition of not giving information to the fans about the current state of the band and the future won't be repeated.

While the metal is hot, you have to .... it.

I keep wondering what kind of material of the Use Your Illusion period is still waiting to be released. Will we ever know?

Also, I hope history will not repeat itself (members leaving/replaced etc. --> more time/years wasted). You never know what happens to people. People get older, some things can happen, who knows how many years we will be able to enjoy the music.

This album could be a turning point. Before the last "world tour", there was almost no sign of life, reputation almost zero; now there is a strong album that people talk about, it could be a real new start. GNR is back on the 'map', getting attention and possibly new fans also. The question is, what will they do with it?

Contraband was a great album, Libertad sucked pretty hard. Scott Weiland should refrain from writing an album sober again.

I only like Scott when he first came on the scene with his first album  Core.  Several yrs later he was totally unrecognizible and he didn't sound like he used to. So I was really happy that VR got rid of him  and excited to hear the new singer and material!

Hey I just had a thought...... You know how ppl bash Axl for keeping the GNR name  and ppl say it's not GNr well Slash is keeping the name for VR so when they get another singer it won't techincally be VR at least to the fans that liked Scott with the group. so they did the same thing Axl did sorta!

Baz is a great singer! Come on, he is a million times better than this asshole of Scott Weiland!!!
Baz would be a great singer for Velvet Revolver but he won't do it because he doesn t want to risk his friendship with Axl.
Baz is a cool guy and he has a terriffic voice!

Yea that sucks! But I dunnno why Axl would be so mad at him. What's the big deal.  Maybe Baz would feel like he couldn't live up to the GNR boys and live up to play some of the old GNR tunes.
