On my first few listens through the album this song didn't grab me particularly, I think I was still amazed at what I'd heard in This I Love before it, I really wasn't expecting a song like that. Now, several listens later I think it is my favourite song. It's the one I find myself playing the most at the moment, especially if I've only got time to listen to one or two tracks.

Kind of a troll in this thread, but I really believe this song is one of the weakest in Chinese Democracy, along with Madagascar. Ok, Madagascar is worse.  :shy: However, this is by no means a bad song (meaning Prostitute); it's a peaceful ending to a record full of good and bad emotions. In addition, the title of it always make me think that Axl has made all the other bands look like prostitutes with this fuckin' brilliant album he did put out!

I disagree with Prostitute being one of the weakest tracks. Chinese Democracy / Scraped / Riad & bedouins are the weakest tunes IMO. It has a brilliant intro, but then becomes messy. Also i think Madagascar is a great tune, but we've all been listening to different versions of it since 2002/3. So im at a stage now that i don't really listen to it that much.

But your absolutely right regarding the album. Its brilliant. The album is one of the strongest albums i've listened to in years. I mean even the songs i regarded as my weakest are good songs. Also because the music is so epic, i think this could well become a classic album. The epic/grand sound is something very unique in rock music nowadays, and the songs seem timeless in many ways. Out of the 14 tracks, you could say 11 or 12 would be worthy singles ( And everybody has a different 11 or 12 ). Thats unheard of nowadays, well unless its a greatest hits album ( And not many of them have 6 songs worthy of being singles ).

Great song, I really like the piano on it, its kinda just off in the background but its great, and the lyrics...wow. Perfect way to end a great album.

I was listening to CD for the first time.
Got to the beautiful outro in Prostitute.
Then the phone started ringing.

I'm down to being of the opinion that this is actually the worst song on the album, now that Scraped has grown on me.  Also, by the time we get to the end of This I Love, I am so damn sick of ballads, I don't even want to hear this song.  Of course, that might be because I swear to God the final vocal note of This I Love is like an ear-gasm.

The words in the intro sound very much like "I Love You".. which makes about no sense at all with the rest of the song .. but then, the whole song makes no sense, either.
