Chinese Democracy has the potential to sell more records than AFD simply bcuz of the anticipation and magnitude of guns n roses and the album. i think the guns n roses fans from 87-93 era will buy it, also gnr have made new fans since then with also the help from touring in 2001-02/2006-07 who will buy it and also other people will buy it purely to see what the hype is about and bcuz its Guns N Roses!

however, illegal downloads will probably fuck up the sales of the album and we will never truely know!

no way it reaches AFD in sales  (believe around 18 million now)  is hard for cd's nowadays to reach 5 million with all the different avenues one can get the songs.

ok well that comparrison is kinda stupid (no offense) but afd has sold 18 million now and has been out since 87 lol chinese democracy is coming out in 2008 so no it prolly will never reach the same as afd at least not at the same time but its impossible to tell if 21 years from now cd has sold 18

appetite has sold 18mill in america alone, worldwide its reckend to be sumwer between 25-30 million, i think its the 10th biggest sales in america ever or summit like that

I doubt it  AFD is like Lightning in a bottle it hit at the right time and besides the two albums are totally different in style.   

   CD will possibly go multiplatinum though.

thats what i mean...it had the potential but wont probably sell more cause of illegal downloads and that,
however, AFD has had more than 20 years to reach that figure of sales

LOOK AT UYI I & II   COMBINED ABOUT 5 MILLION LESS THE AFD  WITH ONLY 4 LESS YEARS AND IM SURE AFD STILL OUTSELLS BOTH COMBINED PER YEAR STILL.  IF CD/ALBUM SALES WERE AS STRONG TODAY AS IN 80'S AND EARLY 90'S I WOULD GIVE CD A CHANCE TO REACH ONE OF THE UYI'S ALBUMS IN SALES

No way, "C.D." hasn't got the potential to be a massive hit like A.F.D.. The new Gn'R wrote some good songs for "C.D." but seriously, the songs are far away from being as great as what Gn'R released on A.F.D. or the U.Y.I's.

u maybe right about AFD but CD is just as good as UYI I&II
