Sam Raimi is great,Evil Dead and now SPIDERMAN?
Whoever directed THE WIZARD OF OZ.
if you mean the original from 1939 that was victor fleming. i like tarantino's stuff too but i really just don't like rodriguez's stuff.
and let me just say this about the grindhouse movies since like 3 of you brought them up...
the movie was ambitious but a box office failure basically cause no one wants to sit through all that action and gore for nearly 4 hours.
planet terror was just a rip-off of george romero zombie movies and it was too overloaded with special effects. i mean rose mcgowen didn't even have the machine gun leg 'til the last 10 minutes of the movie yet the poster has her with it on! most of the movie was her with that stick for a leg.
there was no character development and too many characters that kinda just stood around. like those twins, they were just in it so when the dog gets run over, blood shoots all over them and they look hot. they had nothing to do with anything or even had any coherent lines.
death proof had amazing stunts, acting, and cinematography. like when there was that 8 minute shot of the 4 girls at the table. it was all one shot! do know how hard it is to plan something like that?!?!
i know that most movie goers don't pay attention to the little details like that but from what bias i have as a film student, trust me, it's stressful to make films. even if you have a budget of over $50 million.
i have said all i need to say lol
