So Hodgson has the job. Did the FA even make a tentative approach for 'Arry? and if not, why not?

I just hope it's not another example of the FA only giving the job to 'yes men.' That is why Brian Clough never got the job and it's why Martin O' Neill was overlooked when he wanted the job.
I hope, I do not wait.

Hodgson is a great manager, he knows how to bring under-achieving teams to success. Just look at what he did with Switzerland! Harry is shite under pressure.

Bollocks! I'm not saying he's a poor manager, but "great" managers don't wind up at West Brom after decades in the game.

He's only ever had two big jobs (Inter and Liverpool) and he was sacked in both of them.
I hope, I do not wait.

Yeah and Harry can't maintain a run with one of the best teams in the league. Neither of them are ideal, but personally i'd take Hodgson over Harry any day of the week.

Umm, last time I checked, only one of them had won a trophy with an English club and only one of them has qualified for the champs league with an English club.

I think Roy is a decent enough manager but his time at Liverpool tainted him, having said that Liverpool are a load of shit and King Kenny has hardly been much better apart from in the cups.

I just think he is cheap to appoint, a 4 year deal is too long IMO, 2 years would have been enough because the fans will want him out after the Euros no doubt and if he has a poor WC qualifying then he will be up for the sack. He is also very much a yes man and there will be no repeat of the Terry row.

Harry was probably too expensive, the FA can pull the no international experience card, he has a history with the tax issues his had and he is way to open with the media, he could say anything.

Personally I wanted Harry if only just to fuck up Spurs.

210 goals in 217 appearences over the past 4 seasons. He's only 24, he still has 10 + years in the game.

Eden Hazard has stated he's going to be in the Premier League next season and that he'll be wearing blue. Since he's going to cost about £30,000,000 that means either City or Chelsea, somewhat troublesome for Fergie who has wanted to sign him for a while now but it seems the player doesn't have a desire to sign for them and it's doubtful they would be able to raise the capital considering their financial state.

In other slightly more interesting news (for me at least) the title decider is the 13th of May, as my birthday is the 12th of May I'm hoping for what I'm going to consider a late birthday present from City in the form of the Barclays Premier League title.
Apparently a new Amy Winehouse 'Greatest Hits' collection is coming out, but the tinfoil and spoons aren't included.

I think he would be better off at Chelsea where he will get regular games as Chelsea need a winger. Good luck against the might of QPR  :ninja:

They were!!  i was shocked that fergie packed the midfield, utd need some sort of miracle to win the league now :fpalm:

How would you have handled it exactly?

He would be better off at Chelsea although I think he'd be good at City too as he could challenge Nasri for his typical position in the squad and perhaps that's what Nasri needs to play to his best. But no there is no sense in players coming into the City squad if they want regular football the only players who can be sure they'll start are Hart, Kompany, Lescott, Silva, Yaya and Aguero...Clichy and Kolarov are rotated, Richards and Zabaleta are rotated, Barry gets a lot of starts but there's always a fair chance Milner or De Jong will play there too whether as a sub or just as a tactical difference, Dzeko and Balotelli can't be sure they'll even play let alone start, Nasri gets to play a lot with Johnson getting the odd game.

I won't write QPR off just yet, think they're capable of putting up a fight whether they will or not is anyone's guess though. But if there was a fixture to end the season on it'd be at home where we've not lost a league game and have drawn once, against a team with a horrendous away record facing relegation.

What the derby match?  I would of played a 4-4-1-1,played valencia instead of nani, welbeck instead of park and rooney to have dropped deep into midfield.

Still think city have won the league, but we still need to beat sunderland which wont be easy.
