Why, what's going on? Are they going into administration? I've just done a quick google but all I could find was articles about a former captain returning [or something like that.]
The finances are far from secure hence the fact there's no transfer budget and several of the key players left as did many of the coaches, scouts and it was a contributing factor to parting with Peter Reid as manager.
Actually, I take it you're just referring to their perilous position in the football league at the moment. But nobody has ever been relegated in January [at least to my knowledge, although there was that stat that no EPL club who had been bottom at xmas had staved off relegation, until W. Brom bucked the trend and proved that nothing is over until it's over and stats really mean fuck all] hence why I thought/assumed something more damaging had befallen the club.
I've always pondered the possibility of two small clubs merging. Exeter and Plymouth; Devon Utd?
If handled right they could certainly challenge for premier league status.
That's easy for me to say though, if Liverpool and Everton tried to merge I'd probably become the worlds first football terrorist. Christ, I know people who'd stop going the game if the two clubs finally decided to agree to a groundshare.
Yeah ridiculously shocking these last few seasons I actually stopped going to their games because i don't enjoy buying a ticket to each home game when i know there's barely even a hope of winning. I don't support Argyle as much as i did when i was a kid because honestly back then i loved going to Home Park when it was full to capacity and watching Argyle go in with every chance to win even when they didn't was exciting to watch, had great fun singing "did the farmers kill your wives?" to Swansea fans during the foot and mouth epidemic and other stupid memories with friends they are all very nice thoughts but the club are just about dead in the water, they've got a good following in the area and in Cornwall too so i don't see why they've not been better funded but fact is they haven't. It's why people around here pick a premier league team and a local team because none of our local teams (Truro, Plymouth, Torquay, Exeter) are ever in the EPL. God forbid one of them actually getting promoted that far

personally if Argyle were ever in the Prem i'd be sat in the Argyle seats even at their games against City.
But the state of the club is abysmal, they're about to be relegated and nothing short of a miracle is needed to turn it around, the staff are made up of loyal players some of whom are also playing the games as well (the goal keeper Larrieu is a coach, the midfielder and captain Carl Fletcher is the current manager), players being paid on IOU basis, stadium sold to the council etc etc.
sucks to see it i could get past all of this if they were still interesting to watch but frankly they're a disorganised mess, when they start playing like a team again regardless of their results maybe i'll start parting with my cash to go watch them.
Haha honestly Torquay, Exeter and Plymouth combined would make a team who would be a strong force for the championship they might even get to the premier league once in a while...nice dream i guess i imagine they'd base it in Plymouth since Home Park is a hundred times better than St James Park or Plainmoor. It'd be nice but it'd never happen.
out of curiousity what is it about a groundshare with the red half that annoys you?
