Yeah it's hard to predict much until it all hits i'm not much for making guesses or stabbing in the dark at a game that is most of the time largely about luck as much as anything else. I wanna see Arsenal win something this season, starting to feel sorry for them at this point.

WTF Chez? It has fuck all to do with "luck." Can you honestly see West Brom luckily winning the league this season?
I hope, I do not wait.

*shrugs* Blackburn did it 9 years ago.

luck is quite often a big part of any individual game ask a United supporter, frankly the places are usually so tight at the top (and the bottom) that one unlucky result can make a big difference at the last third of the season, plus i was including the cups in that too where of course it's very relevant.

I'm not doubting talent, science, tactics or training they're obviously a big part of it but those things can be flawless and you might still not win a match.

Do you mean the same Blackburn that spent more money than anybody else? The same Blackburn that bought Alan Shearer? It was a lot longer than 9-years ago. You are showing your shortcomings when it comes to football knowledge now mate.

fair enough, you have me on the blackburn thing, i have to hold my hands up to that one. but i never stated over a league season, how many finals are won on the last day of the season or the game before that? one unlucky day at the end can be the difference between first place and second place or third place even and so on and so forth i think it's almost certain to be a close season and it'll probably come down to the wire there are so many roughly equal teams that i think it'll be a factor. Obviously i don't believe West Brom could win the title in this day and age i was really talking about brackets of teams chelsea could luck out, united could luck out, city could luck out (again), maybe even arsenal...conversel y who gets relegated is also very much based on the events at the end too (unless you're a derby player) especially when it comes down to goal difference.

EDIT: "equal" is a poor choice of word but you see my meaning, teams with the potential to success in this league as it is now.

There's only 3 potential 'finals' for any given team

one unlucky day at the end can be the difference between first place and second place or third place

I've said it once, I'll say it again - "one day does not a season make!"

even and so on and so forth i think it's almost certain to be a close season and it'll probably come down to the wire there are so many roughly equal teams that i think it'll be a factor. Obviously i don't believe West Brom could win the title in this day and age i was really talkijavascript:void(0);ng about brackets of teams chelsea could luck out, united could luck out, city could luck out (again), maybe even arsenal...conversel y who gets relegated is also very much based on the events at the end too (unless you're a derby player) especially when it comes down to goal difference.

I've got the utmost respect for Sir Alex Ferguson - He's a truly great manager. However, he's just embarrassed himself by claiming all we did was lump the the ball forward.

We defended better than the Munichs did and he seems to be upset that we scored one more goal than them and won the game. Sour-faced classless twat.
I hope, I do not wait.

Lol did he see the same game as everyone else?

I thought Everton played really well. The match was entertaining and I could be wrong but I didn't see any lumping
the ball forward.

I thought Everton had evidently done their homework and put in a lot of well worked crosses into an area where it
was obvious De Gea didn't want to come and contest for the ball (despite him having a decent game).

Some of those Hibert tackles were outstanding.

In my opinion Ferguson should have just admitted the fact was they were out classed and Everton desreved to win.

Outstanding analysis Chainy.

De Gea is a good a good keeper, but he lacks the courage for the English game. He's a good shot-stopper, but he lacks the balls - and the conviction- to come out of his six-yard box and deal with things.

Tony Hibbert is the best tackler in the league. Not biased, He's just an outstanding defender.
I hope, I do not wait.

Thought Scholes in particular but also Nani were very lucky they weren't sent off frankly, 4 or 5 tackles of Scholes's looked like easy yellow cards and so did 2 or 3 of Nani's obviously they picked up a single yellow card but it didn't seem to put them off reckless tackles in the rest of the game. Frankly Fellaini was incredible yesterday, totally agree about Hibbert's defensive work was very impressed with that, Jelavic was pretty good too as was Baines. Really enjoyed watching Everton not least because they've yet again allowed us to make up points on United. On a related note Rodwell's debut yesterday went pretty well...nothing remarkable but i was happy with it.

Alex Ferguson will give Usain Bolt the chance to play for Manchester United in a match against Real Madrid.

The Red Devils boss told Inside United that he will happily give the Jamaican sprint legend his chance to take to the field in the club's annual charity clash against the Spanish giants next year.

And Fergie left open the tantalising possibility that if Bolt acquits himself well enough, there may be a chance for him to take his ambition of playing for the side further.

"Usain's a character and a big United fan," Ferguson said, "It's interesting he says he'd like to play in a charity game.

"It could be brilliant, and next year when we play Real Madrid's Legends again, there could be opportunities to bring him up and see how he does."

Bolt has always maintained that he would love to play football for United, and is certainly confident in his ability.

"I would not take up the challenge if I didn't think I was good enough," he said recently. "I am a very accomplished player and know I could make a difference.

"People think I am joking. But if Alex Ferguson called me up and said, ‘OK let's do this, come and have a trial', it would be impossible for me to say no."

Bolt recently spent the day as guest of honour at Old Trafford, being presented to fans on the pitch and meeting not just Ferguson, but also club legends Bobby Charlton, Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney.

Lots of reports that AVB has alienated and angered his dressing room at spurs and has already angered his new signing Lloris.

Yeah the Lloris one is true. It was after AVB said he wouldn't drop Brad on the form he showed in their last match. I was never in favour of AVB taking the Spurs job, I just don't see him doing a good job. He does seem to getting a habit of turning a squad against him behind the scenes, regardless of what he did with Porto.
