Pity about the early goal as I was hoping for it to be closer for longer. Losing Motta after they had used all 3 subs fucked it up.

It was a pity Germany got beat by Italy because I really wanted to see a Germany v Spain final. But the first goal in the knock out stages is so important, if Italy had got it today it would have been a totally different game, once Spain were ahead it was all over.

I was surprised to find out that the average age of the Spain team is 27. I thought they would be older but apart from Xavi they are still young.

I can't wait for the next World Cup. The German team will be that bit old and the Spanish will be 29 on average. They will be primed to be toppled. Plus Brazil will be under massive pressure to deliver. It should be a cracker.

Well both the teams from our group made the final and we lost to Spain by the same margin as Italy did today.
