Damn you and your inquisitiveness! I can't say for sure; I've trawled through so many GnR info websites that I've lost track What I do remember though is that it was a pretty good source, and that Dizzy reed said it wouldn't make it. I've had a look again, and all I can find is this website, not my original source, but it confirms that Dizzy has said it won't be on the album:

I wouldn't mind if Rhiad didn't make it; not my favourite, although it's growing on me. I really like IRS though, I'd like to see it get a release some time.

I.R.S. may sound pretty enjoyable, but IMHO, overall is not a strong song. Chinese Democracy also isn't good. But I voted for IRS, just because CD has some potencial to be pretty nice song and maybe it will, in the very final version. Even if the album version will not be good, i think, gunners will really improve it during the live shows Unfortunately, i don't see in which aspect IRS can be improved, maybe solo, but i don't think that would change the song hardly.

I think the vocals in IRS are quite decent and still has abit of energy even with all the production, hope it makes atleast one of the albums even if not CD.
But opinion is just opinion so this vote is just a matter of personal view.

i dont think there is a single weak track i like silkworms i dont think its particularly good but i think it will be just as rhiad is now. its hard to say anysong is weaker because theyr'e all unique and distinct in there own way

i believe that every song that i have at least heard from the chinese democracy demos are fantastic. silkworms is just weak because we've only heard the live version from rock in rio 3. i like it, it think the lyrics are cool and full of hate which is awesome. like "pussy full of maggots" or "what can i do with a bitch like you." every song can't be all orchestral and pretty like the blues. that creepy chris pitman and dizzy reed noise at the beginning is cool too. the song has balls but the final thing or another demo will show us how great the song really is

Silkworm. But too be fair the only copies going around are from HOB 01 and RIR3 01. We all know how much the songs have changed in two years let a lone 7.

Also Silkworms..But like said before: Not very fair since we haven't heard a studio version. Before the june leaks I thought Rhiad sucked balls too, now I really like it.

I.R.S is boring. The chord progression is far to predictable and with each newer version we get, more of the songs energy seems to be gone. However the original leak of IRS was the shizzle.
