Not accusing you of anything, but MSL has been saying that other sites are censoring their content because of promises made by GNR management of exclusive interviews and such.

Here is what he has said:

"someone close to BP emailed in claiming that BP had been promised interviews with band members and a review copy of chinese democracy if he continued to play ball with azoff's requests."

I hope you never agree to anything like this. The GNR community needs uncensored freedom of speech to share knowledge. We don't need exclusive information, we can get that from other sources that are easily corrupted.

Azoff could easily promise a site exclusives just to shut them up and then renege on said promise.

I imagine that other sites have agreed to play ball with Azoff to get exclusive content, not for the sake of the fans, but to jack up their own website hits and increase their ad revenue.

I don't want to have to move to another forum, please tell me that we are free to discuss anything here.

according to MSL, BP most certainly is. BP is admin of chinsedemocracy.com right? CD.com and newgnr.com used to be the same forum but they split a few months ago and now Sladdi runs newgnr.com along with these forums and BP runs CD.com. Am I correct?

I would think Sladdi would not do this just because of the way the split went down. I think it had to do with money and BP wanting more of it.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

At CD.com they are deleting any posts containing any mention of MSL, and links to his site are being removed.

right, because according to MSL, BP has been offered exclusive interviews and a preview copy of the album in exchange for cooperation. Again, I am sure BP is doing this because the exclusive content will boost his ad revenue.

But what he doesn't realize is that these promises could easily be lies just to get them to remove the posts. MSL said he agreed to give up his sources to GNR lawyers in exchange for a contract saying he would not be held liable for the leaks. As soon as he rolled over on the leakers, he never heard from the lawyers or got the contract.

this isn't *really* censorship, a website and a forum are private property and the owners have every right to remove anything they want, but it's still wrong. If BP has an agenda and wants to remove posts based on promises by Azoff then he can, but I wouldn't post there.

I personally feel forums should allow any content within the law. Only certain things like porn or child porn or death threats, personal information, etc should be removed.

It's obvious that MSL is not a troll and is credible. Maybe he is all BS, maybe he is working for Axl, who knows, but banning him and removing posts talking about him is going too far.

I agree with removing links to the leaked songs, but there are a lot of threads and posts talking about MSL that haven't been removed (and why should they).

This couldn't be what this thread was started for. What does he/her think there censoring for?
