The club statement on their official website read: "Newcastle United can confirm that meetings between members of the Board and manager Kevin Keegan were held both yesterday and today.

"Kevin has raised a number of issues and those have been discussed with him.

"The club wants to keep progressing with its long-term strategy and would like to stress that Kevin is extremely important, both now and in the future.

"Newcastle United values the effort and commitment shown by Kevin since his return to St. James' Park and wants him to continue to play an instrumental role as manager of the club.

"For the avoidance of doubt the club has not sacked Kevin Keegan as manager."

looks like he hasn't gone then, what a strange day.
And that\\\'s the truth and here\\\'s the worst yet

very strange, i remember him not being very happy with wise becoming director of football way back though and i cant say as i blame him either, can you imagine glaziers doing that to fergie seems like he was only brought back to pacify the fans. who would want wisey in control of anything, poor poor toon army. even stranger leeds are actually winning.

i love to watch the celtic v rangers games i always want celtic to win. cannot believe that robinho has gone to man city, whats next messi to derby county fc?

They are such intense matches, they really are up there with the best matches in the world, every pass, shot, touch etc is analysed, my best mate is a Rangers fan and we watch the games together with a few beers and have a great time, friendly banter/rivalry :) But alot of people take it FAR too serious, but thats a whole other topic.

Messi to Derby  That did give me a good laugh :)
