velvet revolver done?
« on: July 09, 2008, 11:02:05 AM »
Several times I have read that V. revolver are looking at replacements for Scott Weiland, they never say who, but such people as Lenny Kravitz, the guy from Rose Tattoo, Sebastian Bach, etc. are mentioned. They have publicly stated that they will say soon, but haven't. Do you think they are getting rejected? If so does anybody think they would take a risk on an unknown singer?
It seems interesting that Duff is traveling with loaded, Slash is talking solo album, Matt sorum is opening a business, maybe they packed it in?
Does anybody think they stand a chance if Axl drops his cd (hopefully cd's)

They seem pretty desperate for attention.
I reckon Chris Cornell would have actually been pretty awesome for them.
Angry Anderson from Rose Tattoo would be great, but nobody would buy into it,seems really unlikely to me-hes old school mate-Angry aint sexy! More lilely hes gonna sing on Slashers record...
Lenny Kravitz is a joke, and Chester Bennington is an even bigger joke.
Sebastian Bach would be a good choice,he can certainly sing the old guns stuff really well, but thats not gonna happen
You just cant replace Axl.
I mean theyre always gonna be compared to Guns, and they will never live up to that excpectation.
It seems like theyre done to me.
I hope they find someone, coz I havent dug any of their stuff to date(fall to piesces was ok,just a rehash)

Angry Anderson is like 60 fuckin' years old. Granted he can still put on a good show (saw him open for Guns last year) but c'mon, who the fuck would suggest that?

It is more than ridiculous to say all these nasty things about Chester Bennington. You can always search in YouTube for his amazing performances along with Slash. Stop shooting at him simply because he loves a music style you don't wanna hear about.

You said it man.  Seriously, he's a really talented singer and personally I like their music alot. Just like Axl, he has a really good ability to both sing very well and scream. Try and find another Chester out there!  :finger:
Just use your head, and in the end you'll find your inspiration

The dude from My Chemical Romance probably has more vocal range.

^ I was wondering why you say all these things, until I saw you're 17 years old.

They did, along with Limp Bizkit. You might hate this music, but it was the best shit out there in this decade.
