Rick Rubin and GNR

anyone ever wonder if that would have been a good match up. i mean the guy has done alot in the past 20 years. especially working with metallica or do you think it wouldnt have worked at all?
i know this is nothing new  but i was bored and i thought while checkin out metallicas new stuff if he even came into the pic when axl started looking for producers

He's certainly a diverse guru when it comes to choosing acts to produce. Kinda shrewd as well. (I'm referring to the stuff he did with Johnny Cash).

Maybe they're just too different in personalities though? Just a thought.

Axl wouldn't be able to cope with Rubin's negative feedback on songs. Rubin presumely threw out quite some Metallica songs, because he didn't like them at all. Axl is not really a guy who likes to be critizised, I think.

I'm wondering if Rubin will succeed with Death Magnetic though.

Rubin and ACDC not a good match,apparrently he is spread rather thin(they said he was always ducking off to see the rhcp,and they got rid of him)

Rubin always has about three bands on the go, he's back and forth checking in on them. What about Brenden O'Brien producing.

Dunno,in an ACDC bio I raed (respected journalist) they were unhappy with Rubin...

It's one of those things where its either gonna flop, or really work. the fact that he splits his time between so many different bands could be a blessing, because it would let Axl just get on with it at his own pace. Then again, Axl might get annoyed with that like so many others (including Velvet Revolver).
