I just really don't like him. I think he is an arrogrant fucker who was just given one of the best cars on the grid, he didnt have to work his way up like everyone else does.

When he is interviewed I just want to punch him.

Come on you can't say that, in his first season in F1, he outperformed Alonso, who was expected to be the teams number 1.

He's an exceptional driver, perhaps the best. He certainly gets involved in a lot of action during races.

Don't get me wrong, I never said he wasnt a good driver, I think is probably in the top 2 best drivers in F1. I just said I dislike him.

But he was massively favoured at Mclaren towards the end in the battle with Alonso. He also never had to rough it at a small team (i.e Alonso & Webber at Minardi). He was always part of the Mclaren set up since he was 13. Basically he has always been given one of the best cars on the grid. I would love to see how he would fair in a Force India or a Lotus trying to attract the attentions of a bigger team with these cars. Thats why I consider him to be so arrogrant, he has had it easy. That is probably due to his talent that Mclaren spotted but he has been very groomed for the whole F1 world and it appears false to me, I don't think I have ever seen the real Hamilton, just the generic brand version.

Some valid points, but what was he meant to do? turn Mclaren down?

I read an interview with Hamilton recently, were he states that up until he was taken under the Mclaren wing, he struggled for funds, and had to rely on sponsorship from Jenson Button's dad's motor sport business. He also goes on to state that before F1, he won every championship he ever competed in. As you say he certainly feels he earned his place at Mclaren. Finishing second in his rookie year and winning the world title in his second, would certainly suggest justification of Mclarens investment, regardless of what he achieves from here on in.

Even if by the end of his season with Alonso, Hamilton was getting preferential  treatment, it's because he'd forged a lead in the championship. Ferrari have recently reminded us all of exactly how it works.

Oh its not his fault Mclaren wanted him in their programme but it doesnt change the fact that he had it much easier then most other drivers.

When he was struggling for funding he was still in karting, and I correct myself as it he was 10 when Mclaren signed him up and he only started karting at 8, so not that long of a struggle. A lot of drivers have to bring sponsors for the team they drive for just to get a drive in F1, if you join a 'lesser' team if a most that you bring sponsors with you or you don't get a drive no matter how talented you are. That's what I consider a struggle not what happened with Hamilton tbh.

Well, Hamiton told a lie with stating that he won every championship he had entered before F1, because that is just not true.

I recall an interview earlier this year with Ron Dennis when he stated that during the 2007 season it was Hamilton they wanted to win the chanmpionship because he was their man and the relationship the team relationship with Alonso was in tatters.

Hamilton did amazingly well in his rookie year and imo is one of the best drivers in F1. I think he will become a multiple world champion but imo he has had it easy and as a result will never leave Mclaren which I think will damage his legacy. I will never warm to the guy, the BBC don't help with that, I find him arrogant and false. I much perfer Button because his F1 career has been hard and got his pay off last year.

Nah man he didn't sign at ten, I've just checked a few things. He actually approached Ron Dennis when he was ten he'd just won the british karting championship, he said "hi I wanna race for you one day" Ron Dennis gave him an autograph and said "come back in nine years & we'll talk about it then" He signed for Mclaren at 13.

I don't think Hamilton meant he'd won every championship every year, but he has got an impressive track record when it comes to winning things.
Karting
Formula A
Formula A world cup
Formula Renault 2000
Formula Renault uk 2.0
Formula 3
G.P 2
F1

Not to mention his records

    * Most consecutive podiums from debut race: 9 – Australian GP 2007 – British GP 2007 (previous record was 2 by Peter Arundell – Monaco GP 1964 – Dutch GP 1964)
    * Most consecutive podiums for a British driver: 9 – Australian GP 2007 – British GP 2007 (tied with Jim Clark – Belgian GP 1963 – South African GP 1963)
    * Youngest driver to lead the World Championship: 22 years, 4 months, 8 days – at the Bahrain GP 2007 (Previous record was 23 years, 7 months, 22 days by Fernando Alonso at the Malaysian GP 2005)[113]
    * Most wins in a debut season: 4, Canadian, USA, Hungarian and Japanese GPs 2007 (equalling Jacques Villeneuve, European, British, Hungarian and Portuguese GPs 1996)
    * Most pole positions in a debut season: 6, Canadian, USA, British, Hungarian, Japanese and Chinese GPs 2007 (Previous record was 3 held jointly by Jacques Villeneuve (1996) and Juan Pablo Montoya (2001))
    * Most points in a debut season: 109
    * Youngest F1 World Champion (2008 season): 23 years and 300 days, previously held by Fernando Alonso with 24 years and 58 days.
    * Highest average points per race: 6.45

In his debut season, Hamilton took the record of Youngest World Drivers' Championship runner-up, at 22 years and 288 days, previously held by Kimi Räikkönen at 23 years and 360 days. In 2009, this record was taken by Sebastian Vettel, who was 22 years and 122 days when he secured runner-up position in the championship.

Button was the one with the silver spoon in his mouth, I take it the irony of this statement, when considering that even Lewis relied on Jensons dad for early sponsorship, is lost on you here pal.

Lewis got talent spotted, all F1 drivers have it easy to a degree. I mean I don't know about you, but I never got no 15k go-karts for Christmas when I was a kid.
I hope, I do not wait.

I don't see much irony, there is a big difference between karting & F1. I wouldnt consider Buttons dad sponsoring Hamilton for a few seasons in karting to Mclaren sponsoring Hamilton for 70% of his driving life to be much of a comparsion. Basically Jenson's dad has more money than Lewis's dad.

I disagree about Jenson, far from a silver spoon. Williams, Benetton, Renault, BAR, Honda we all poor cars and not much was expected of Brawn. He had to earn his drives each season and wasnt just given a car that could win the world chamionship in his rookie year. He was never signed to a young drivers programme. He got into F1 by winning an award that had a test drive for a Mclaren as the prize, he impressed and was invited by Williams to a shoot-out with another driver for the vacate seat, which he won. He may be a playboy but he had the hard road in F1, much like Alonso & Webber. Either way you don't stay in a top team in F1 without having the talent which they both have.
